Both are brilliant manga from the slice-of-life genius Hitoshi Ashinano. Much like Aria or Kino's Journey, the story is not the focus - the setting is. They are built entirely upon atmosphere. Give 'em a read on a quiet morning or a rainy day and you will surely be pulled into their world.  

Made by the same author, both series crafts a simple slice of life with relatable characters with natural setting. While they lack a complex storyline/arc, it makes it up with its backgrounds and characters. Dialogues have a quiet feeling and the backgrounds are elegant with degrees of fantasy-like aura. Both series should be on anyone's list if they love slice of life. 

In a vast yet sparsely populated world, a feeling of melancholia persists. Kabu no Isaki journeys further in its adventures, but still feels as intimate as the individual days in Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou. The natural world of one and the quiet looming city of the other have the same air of mystery within which the protagonists cheerily travel. In short, the vibes are very similar. 

Air couriers, mysterious worlds and relaxed atmosphere. 

It's a slice-of-life manga with heart-warming stories of a girl trying to be a licensed gondolier on a Venice-like city on Mars, and of the friends and adventures she has in this city. It also has many adventure and sci-fi elements in the story. (There is also a sequel called Aria) 

Kabu no Isaki and Amanchu gives off a natural feeling with its setting and themes. Both series focuses on a small yet meaningful cast of characters. Their storytelling has more of an episodic structure but connects with the overall tone of the series. Every chapter in itself feels like an adventure. Their activity takes them outdoors and exploration with a serene sense of elegance. 

Both have the same quiet, peaceful mood and are about the adventures of the main character.
