I'm glad someone came up with a name for this specific aesthetic I've been craving for again, seriously been waiting for years; "Cyber Stylin'" sounds like an interesting name. Also discovering all these after a while start to make me think of magazines like Seventeen for some reason... I guess cuz this unsurprisingly became a retro shoujosei stack lolol

Manga about clothes

This includes coordinators, designers, cosplayers, kimono, etc.

A continued collection of obscure manga ranging from the great to the kinda terrible.

For all the parents and other older relatives, librarians, and teachers out there, here is a list of manga that are appropriate for everyone of all ages and could make for a lovely spot on any and all kinds of bookshelves.

Manga has always been popular with kids, and those in the West who visit their local library may notice that kids tend to gravitate to the graphic novel sections, sometimes just for these Japanese comics! Many of the most famous, popular, and beloved manga may be serialized in magazines aimed at children in Japan, but may surprise those in the West with how violent/fanservice-y/not-exactly-child-friendly they may be to Western sensibilities. Because of this, it can be awkward and/or uncomfortable to share with younger family members, and had any parent glimpsed the wrong manga they might unfortunately ban their child from manga entirely!
So this stack is for those who don't want to go on the wrong step, and want to introduce manga to anyone younger or let them start building a manga collection on reasonable terms. Or for those who want some generally lighter reads. Either approach is fine :P


Disclaimer: I try to put all kinds of series here, but I will admit that there may be a large bias for relatively older shoujo series... not necessarily because I think shoujo always deserves more love and far more credit than people give the demographic tag, but simply because much of it includes series I personally grew up reading. Though there are also nostalgic picks that aren't shoujo in here too. Either way, sorry if I didn't put in any of your childhood favorites haha.

shoujo manga that i avidly rmr reading from around a decade ago

Uber-kawaii Y2K girly pop manga you HAVE to read if you wanna feel like the I T G I R L...or if you just really like silly kiddie shojo from the 2000s like me. =)

A lot of sparkles, a lot of frills, a lot of bright colours, a lot of elementary-level girly goodness that you probably have come across if you were a wee manga reader from the mid-to-late 2000s--if that's what you're looking for, it's here.

A portion of these titles are more on the 子供向け (kodomo-muke) side--that is, they're aimed towards the younger sub-demographic within the greater shojo demographic, and that's evident by the simplistic or even downright goofy plots in contrast to the ornate, super-stylized nature of their art (TLDR; Empty brain like shiny pink thing with no substance--and that is nothing to be ashamed of,) but in general, they're all fun reads, no matter what age you are.

♱ manga/manhwa that aren't necessarily about fashion but that have fashionable characters (all kinds of styles, mainly alternative ones)

a series of titles about male characters that (usually secretly) like cute things or feminine hobbies! the character can be main or supporting, provided they identify as male and have a cute/traditionally feminine hobby or interest! this can be fashion, make-up, plushies, haircare/skincare, sewing, or any other kind of girlish expression! its for everyone!!!!

also heads up that some of these titles are 18+ so if u don't wanna see all that make sure to check the individual tags before you read them!!
