HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD, DO NOT READ UNTIL YOU HAVE FINISHED THE MANGA

I love Jojo, This series is seriously fucking awesome, but to me, part 5 was a bit of a let down. I think I should start with the characters, every character in part 5 is good... except for the two characters that matter the most, the protagonist and antagonist.

Giorno and Diavolo are weak as hell. I feel like a big problem with these two is that they have too many character points that don't actually matter. Giorno is DIO's son, but when is that ever important? When is it ever relevant who ...

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind is the fifth part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga, created by Hirohiko Araki. Originally published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1995 to 1999, Golden Wind follows Giorno Giovanna, the illegitimate son of Dio Brando, as he attempts to become a mafia kingpin in Italy.

I want you to understand this. I'm a jojo fanboy but I'm not blind.

I love you araki and I admire all your work in Jojos.

But I can't keep quiet about what's wrong with this part 5.

I don't mind that other jojos fans get mad at me for not seeing the supposed magic of ...

It's quite pretty and the first two thirds are great (in premise and execution) but after that it kind of falls apart by adding too many over-complicated stands, dragging the ending on for quite a bit and pulling story elements out of its ass, and then screwing up with the defeat of the main villain. It's got a kind of very shitty ending.

To reiterate, the first two thirds are great:
The premise: Mafia Jojo, having to escort a person across Italy and defend them from assassins along the way.
The art: pretty goddamn great, with memorable characters, though the designs keep getting more and more ...

More stylish, more fashionable dudes, more horrific Stand powers, less enjoyable.

Going in order through the Jojos, this is another twist on the formula, breaking away from having a real Joestar and having a weird half-ish hero by way of villain. The actual action unfolds into a similar chase like Part 3, but all throughout Italy and full of morally questionable folks. A wannabe mafioso isn't a very typical protagonist, and it's unfortunate that Giorno has even less personality than Jotaro because he could've done more with his motivation and the way he fights the structure from within. But instead, he is a stoic badass that ...

(This is my first review so please be kind! BTW this review is spoiler-free)
I'm a huge JoJo fan and after finishing DiU I was pretty excited for Vento Aureo, sadly it was quite disappointing. I thought the premise was brilliant (JoJo and gangsters, what could go wrong?) but it was just poorly developed.
Story (5/10): The plot in Vento Aureo is quite linear, slightly similar to the plot of Stardust Crusaders yet it has a lot of confusing elements and undefined character goals which make the whole thing basically pointless. For me the storyline in Vento Aureo was a huge let ...

I feel like I'm reading a comic created by a veteran who knows all the ins and outs of creating shonen manga and exactly all the elements you need. He fulfills every point on that checklist, but it feels hollow and lacks the heart of previous JoJo's. It feels like a massive downgrade from the previous part, which was so much more unique and moving. You could sense the passion Araki must of had creating Diamond is Unbreakable in comparison.

This could be worth reading for some competent, albeit mind-numbing, fights but overall you might find yourself struggling to care by the end of it. I ...
