I saw a few pages of this on iFunny (Only positive experience I've had on that website), and thought it looked interesting, so I read it.

'Voynich Hotel' is just a really good manga on every front. It's really refreshing to read something like this that's well written and fun despite how dark it can occasionally be. I enjoyed every character here. There's very little in terms of character arcs, but they have fun personalities and there's a clear deliberacy in how certain characters act around others, which is one of my favorite aspects of character writing. Despite how loose the plot is, there's a ton ... of foreshadowing, callbacks, and very competent juggling of several subplots that make the story come together far better than most slice of life series. One of my biggest fears is that the main plot's conclusion and getting to that point would be an afterthought, but the conclusion happening when it does makes sense in the narrative. The art is very simple, but it gets the job done, and most character designs feel distinct enough such that you don't confuse any of the characters. The only real complaint I have is how flippant some of the worldbuilding is. Not only in terms of how the magic powers work, but also the actual setting of the Hotel and maybe also a bit of the greater island.

Really though, I just want more. More fun adventures, more of the characters, more of all of it. It's a shame this only got 3 volumes, but I suppose it never outstayed its welcome. This is a high 7 or low 8 out of 10.

I really liked this manga! it's mostly a combination of short stories sure doing a mysterious hotel is a bizarre land. although the main plot also exists which goes gradually between these stories.

Don't let this cartoony art style makes u believe this is a work for kids no! it's more adult-oriented but very fun, it contains Blood, Guns, Drugs, Mafia, and assassins but in a very fun way!

also, I really liked the characters I adore the art style for its simplicity, the story sometimes might not ... make any sense but its very charming

I want to get this out of the way first: it's a 7 for now, I initially gave it a 6 but I kept thinking about it and decided to bump it up to 7, I might bump it up to 8 but probably not any higher. Are we cool? No pitchforks? Good.

Voynich Hotel is a neat little manga with charming characters (yes, even the "ergot" thot), that combines eastern and western drawing styles with romance, horror (don't get your hopes up, it's mostly about the spooky scary supernatural theme) and dark humor.

It's amusing and occasionally funny, it's quite comfy and has a pretty great ... cast of quirky characters. The writing is suprisingly decent and I was pleased with the way short stories are tied together into one. It also doesn't treat the reader like an idiot.

I enjoyed it as a manga but I think it would be even better as an anime. That said, it's pretty graphic both in terms of nudity and gore (not a lot of it though) but it's quite tasteful and mostly feels natural.

It's not gonna take much time to finish and I do believe that you can enjoy it even if the comedy aspect doesn't really work for you, so give it a shot.
