This show is a 9/10 before the final Chapter (c49/48 depending on how you count the half chapter).
The characterisation and devlopment of the characters is really good until the final chapter or 2 (these where very well done through the slow paced story and would get a 10/10 without the final chapter)
It's a really intresting (if predictable) story that would get a 7/10- the chapters don't always follow on from another and there is sometimes little connecting them- the story is meerly a medium for the 2 MC an the SC development.

However, the ending is really bad, the writer clealy hadn't planned on that ... being the last chapter until the last 2 or 3 chapter previous- Either they had originally planned for the series to have another arc or for some other reason they couldn't write the ending they had planned. The ending literly makes no sence from the way the set up the Characters in the rest of the chapters, there was little set-up for the ending and the last chapter is just trying to tie up all the 'loose ends of the story' but it seems like even if this was the planned end to the story it would need at least another 15-20 chapters to properly haddle the events of the last chapters to do it properly and without editing early chapters to set this up it would still feel like forced BS

If you like a thrilling romance this story is not for you If you like super casual romance where the author seems to be making each chapter have almost nothing to do with the next this is the manga for you i don't know the people here read the manga saw it was getting kinda interested decided on a rating and never came back to change it when they read through the whole thing. When i saw that it was tagged as seinen i was expecting a lot more than what i ended up with it was more like a kiddy story that when you ... were thirteen you thought would have been sorta kinky i honestly wasn't expecting much but it seemed the author was making the manga for kids rather than adults no where in the manga did i see something original or anything special about this manga if you're going to read this manga just note that

The way i see the story its about a kid almost perfect and seems like the author does a good job at making him seem popular while at the same time making it seem like all the girls that like him just would make him their fall back boy in case their real love doesn't work they would probably pick him up as a close second the ending there is so little conflict that the mc just looks like a kid having a bad day but if you just want to see a very boring romance story with the dumbest problems in the world this manga is a perfect candidate for it

"Is this bait and switch for real?" should be the actual title.

Spoilers ahead-

I'll not go into much detail about the manga, aside from one very large annoyance:

The ending.

Imagine reading your typical fantasy story, you got your hero, your princess that he saves from the demon lord, and his funny sidekick thief or whatever.

... Now imagine him fighting the demon lord, just as he is about to strike the last blow...

the sidekick jumps in, critical hits the boss to oblivion, turns on his heel, dashes past the dumbfounded hero and ploughes the princess in front of him.

Well, not thaaat extreme, but it's what i felt at the end of this manga.
Instead of going with a unorthodox relationship which the entire story built up to, the main dude just chooses a sidegirl that barely came up.
Not only was it established multiple times that he has a thing for older ladies, and that he only sees the other girl as a little sister, the story also outright told us that the main characters have feelings for each other.

It also doesn't help that for some reason, almost every character that appeared had a relationship at the end, aside from our main heroine.
Heck, even the gay dude and that lesbian chick found somebody... even though they suddenly turned straight, which raised my eyebrow.

Making a story about a older girl who never dated, and then end it on a "Hah, she still didn't get any, PSYCHE" note.

I'm probably being generous giving this a 6 out of 10.

The artwork and characters are awesome, 10/10.

The narrative or plot is terrible. This is a collection of subplots without any focus on a main story. The closest we get to a plot is: who will Narumi end up with? Will she find love? But few of these subplots actually give us a satisfactory conclusion.

The ecchi, which is quite lewd in the beginning and promises great fan service, disappears halfway through. It's like they changed it into a family and children's manga halfway through and we never got the fan service present in the ... first couple of chapters. Did the lack of fan service lead to a decline in readers and the cancellation of the series?

Another reviewer states that the mangaka had hoped for another 20 chapters, and maybe that is the problem. Perhaps it was canceled due to declining readership. So the story, like the fan service, fizzles out and disappears. And the art and characters, worthy of a better (or finished?) manga, end up being wasted.

ENDING SPOILERS
The premise to this story was very basic and had the setup of every H-anime I have seen, though that isn't necessarily a bad thing and the story was very nice throughout the manga. Albeit being incredibly predictable until the end it had a way of making you enjoy things you already knew would happen. The ending was the one thing I couldn't predict but that doesn't mean it was good, the ending was horrible. They made Jun get with his childhood friend but it doesn't really feel that way because they sort of just brush over it, on top of that Narumi remains ... at the house without ever actually resolving her feelings for Jun.

The art was a little off, the characters weren't very good looking. The only exceptions being the half naked Narumi with her hair down and Shirakawa at any given time. The panels were also pretty basic.

All of the characters were surprisingly interesting even if their backstories were fairly shallow. This manga had potential but like I said before the ending ruined it for me, so it only got a 5.

It started off well but as the series hits about chapter 38 it goes downhill.

The lead, Jun-Kun, is a young boy who often has to help his mom out with her mangas. Jun-Kun is a highly responsible kid who is mature for his age and demonstrates this when Narumi is introduced. Narumi is a 28 year old unemployed woman who enters Jun's life as she becomes his mothers' assistant.

It's filled with a lot of ecchi moments and older women who seem to peek Jun's interest. That's why I despite the ending as it appears to happen out of nowhere as Jun starts to "develop" ... into a man. I find fault with the author as Jun is shown to be mature and understands what it is like to actually like someone. However, the person he falls for doesn't make sense story-wise. It is more realistic for him to fall for him but it happens quickly. I do like the girl but I felt like the author didn't want to experiment with complex topics like how a 28 year old could end up with a 16 year old. I wouldn't have a problem with this if the author slipped in more scenes with the girl he picks at the end and made it a slow romance manga.

Anyway, it was a disappointment that it ended in a way that I didn't deem as "good" but I respect the decisions made. This is a good manga for those that are interested in ecchi manga.
