"You're the first man who's ever made me wear pants" - Niche

If a line like that by the 2nd chapter, doesn't strike your attention as amusing than Letter Bee(or Tegami Bachi in Jap) may not be the manga for you.

I was first attracted to this manga through the anime adaptations 1st season which had aired recently, and wanting to know what happened after ep.25 piqued my interest to read on.

Story - 8
Without going into detail and providing spoilers; TB is a unique tale on its own which escapes from the mediocrity of school life stories which seems to be the common setting for most manga ...

Tegami Bachi is ok. It’s a bit slow at the beginning and rushed at the end, but both of these things do not matter much, since you’ll solve the main mystery much earlier than the characters, and what makes this manga worth reading is the world – unusual, intriguing, yet consistent.

When I read more traditional shounen, I tend to take notes of mature details and to imagine what a seinen built around them would’ve been like. With Tegami Bachi this exercise yields unusual results – this manga doesn’t have a middle ground, there’s the plot, centered around the main 12 y.o. character, with all the ...

Be gentle with me because this is probably my first manga that I'm up to release date's with.

A story about a land, covered in pure darkness. With no light other than radiance of a man made star, hanging over the main capital. Under the light of this star, a job is being taken place, a job to deliver letters, and the heart contained in these letter's. The story follows a young boy named Lag seeing and his dingo (familiar) Niche, and her snack Steak. Together, they take on the task of defeating giachu, and delivering letter's at any cost. Their goal. To save their dear ...

This is my first review adn I write this because a lot of people seem to sleep on this manga. It is not the most popular one and in my opinion the the critics were to harsch for no reason. And I am actually very picky myself.

8 Story: The story is solid with an relaxed pace. Overall the story is quiet good and no complains there.

10 Art: The art is simply awesome. It may not be the most detailed one but the world building of AmberGrounds and presentation is just so awesome. With the eternal night setting you have really cool shadowing and lightning ...

I would give to this manga a solid 9 but until I see more development in the future chapters, I'll refrain from rating it so higly.

Story - 9
The plot seems to be childish and silly when you read it, it was very slow and it's still very slow during the last released chapters, but I realized many questions are being answered lately in the newest chapters, furthermore even though at a first glance it will look silly to you, it gets darker and darker.

I won't say it's the best drawn manga I have read, but if you can exclude the "off models" most ...

This manga is one of the first I ever read in the Shonen Jump magazines right there along with Naruto and Bleach. It has a special place in my heart because of that, and my rating of 9/10 likely reflects that. However, I will say this to those of you who have not grown up with this series. It is flawed. The ending is largely rushed and the beginning 4 or so volumes feels like a slog. If you can overlook those flaws, I promise you will experience an incredible world with some of the most unique art you've ever seen. The reason this manga ...

Tegami Bachi world setting is definitely one of the most out-of-the-box I've seen. A Sunless world, where the Sun is a mere fairytale. A world of cat-eyed humans who seek to get closer to the artificial Sun. A world where memories and emotion matter the most. Also big insect monsters?! I'm sold.
The MC is a total crybaby, but I'm ok with that because of his true origin, and biologically he just entered the teen phase. Now that sounds a pretty childish world, but it doesn't! The truth between the artificial Sun, the Head Bee, and the capital of Amberground is definitely worth a read.

not the most satisfying ending, but great emotional story throughout. interesting characters (for a kids comic), not too cliche but a bit of it. also i would say its a tasteful manga, i would be confident a kid/young teen reading it would not develop behavior that can be demeaning or inappropriate to other. very cool world building and every aspect of the plot and characters follow it; feels like a real world. i was really invested in this at age 13 or so. still coming back to it for its gorgeous art! im struggling to recall a manga artist i like their art style of ...

Despite it's flaws, Tegamibachi's positives are more than enough for me to recommend it to someone.

Lets begin with what tegamibachi does well:
-The main cast is interesting and the character development and interactions are really good. Each character has a relatively fleshed out backstory that drives them forward. Gauche's issue is handled very well and really drives forward that the heart is what matters most in this story. There are a lot of tearjerker moments and a lot of heartwarming ones even revolving around characters you'll see only once.
People have complained a lot that Lag is a crybaby but you need to keep in mind ...
