Well, I’d be the first one to admit that I was not a fan of this manga in the beginning due to the lack of progression for two relatively hollow and dense characters, but with patience, the manga is nothing but rewarding.

The premise of this manga is as basic as it comes with an introverted, quiet girl followed by a peeving boy who is curious about her, but the twist is from the interest in cats. Well… that’s about it — seriously, every plot point of this manga has been developed and established through cats, and I can’t say that I hate it.

Adding to ... that, development seemed to be nonexistent, which would’ve made the manga amount to nothing more than “wholesome-bait,” but the characters eventually get more exposure and development, making the story so much more lovable — with that, side characters are introduced who complement the story well by being the reason within the dense personalities of the main cast.

A really light-hearted, wholesome manga that follows a basic premise but with cats — honestly, what more could you ask for in a story? Well, whatever, just come and enjoy pure fluff with a slow-development.

This will be my first ever review. This series compelled me to write as such. I think this is one of the very rare few that gets the balance between Slice of Life and Romance together right. The author knows when it is the best time to go into Romance mode from SoL mode.

Now as the others have already said, it really is hard to describe why this series hooks you. If you get bored at the first few chapters then I highly recommend that you just push through.

At this era, it is now harder to find a "normal" pair of couples that doesn't contain ... Introverted Loners or Popular Extroverts etc.
And you can find just that on this series. So much so that it actually delves into the characters personality and it's development rather than having an act that is heavily influenced by it's pre-attached title from the author.

Now some of you may be thinking right now that this is another Chill Romance but again, it really isn't.
Specific reason for that is it's not really aiming to be chill all the time, it just has moments where it is chill and moments where it's sweet.

It's not just the development of things that are worth watching but also the little "build up" that are on this series.

This story has something special in it that you do not really expect at first glance. It's really difficult to describe it with words, which is weird considering how at the end of the day it is a relatively "standard" romance story featuring a cute female MC and a self-insertion male MC. But it truly feels different from any other story of its kind. The wholesome moments, while relatively rare, are the most rewarding I've seen in ages. Another plus is the gorgeous art style. Every panel where the female MC appears is a painting. You can really tell how the author loves to draw ... her. The only drawback of this story is that the pacing may feel a little slow but it's forgivable considering how rewarding the development feels.
