The long and short of it is this: there are a thousand better stories for you to read, even among the "comfortable trash" genre that this story occupies. It's not like it's awful, and for a short read that you can blow through in a couple of hours it's not the worst place to waste your time but it's just kinda bland and lacks soul.
If you're looking for comedy you'll find a bit. It's not always fantastic, but some jokes land. If you're looking for romance read something else. There is nothing new to be offered here. If you're looking for fanservice, you'll find
...
it, but not in enough volume to call the series "ecchi", nor of the quality one might hope for.
Story: 4
There's not much to say for a story as simple as this one. There's a guy, there's a heroine, there is a supporting cast who have quirky one-note character traits, and that's about it. What little there is in actual plot progression is nothing to write home about. And, in regards to the ending, it is obviously the product of an axe... so don't expect a satisfying ending.
Art: 6
Not much to complain about with regard to the art. It plays it safe and doesn't get much "wrong", but it doesn't inspire. The only complaint I have is that, if the author was trying for the fanservice angle (which they increasingly seem to be as the series goes on), the che characters are not detailed enough for it to have any effect, and the style feels a bit too cushy to leave a lasting impact.
Comedy: 7
The comedy is OK a lot of the time. I chuckled a few times, though never uproariously, and the author did a good job when jokes landed. Not all of them did, of course, but all in all the comedy is fine.
Overall: 5
If you're looking to turn your brain off and just waste time this is a fine place to do it, but it's really nothing special. There are plenty of better places to go if you want to experience anything of worth.
