Immortality — a rather fun, mysterious, and interesting concept at face value, however, it’s a concept that draws a lot of plot inconveniences and boringness due to there not being anything else expanded from the power; rarely is the trope balanced well and maintained to be an alluring read, but this manwha has maintained said allure through its unique power scaling system and cast of characters.

The plot of the manwha, the driving force, is relatively basic in nature by it being a constant power-scale/creep, but through sheer character exposition and introductions of basic but unique plot points, the manwha strays away from cliches, ... and it maintains interest from the protagonist’s inputs.

Have you ever watched an anime or read a manga that has that “too cool to be a main character” side character that constantly squints and acts badass? Well, if you have, this is that character finally displayed as the main character of a story — despite there being an already set personality for him, he goes through loads of character exposition via flashbacks, plot points, and side character interactions; he actually progresses as the story goes on.

To make or break a story, the side characters, disposable or not, make up a storyline — I can say with utmost confidence that this manwha has incorporated the best minor/side characters than any other manwha. Regarding the minor, minor characters, they share attributes of reality by having faults, idols, and values that aren’t usually expanded upon before their insertion and deaths. As for the side characters, the main cast, they all undergo some kind of small but substantial development that make them a separate entity outside of the mc; they could have their own story, and I’d read it.

Here’s an underrated value behind any “serious” story — harmony between seriousness and light-heartedness. To elaborate, a manwha or any kind of story can make deep and emotional characters, but if the plot/characters are always on a climb of the rising conflict, never reaching a resolution, then the story doesn’t become satisfying or as fun to read. After danger and stress, there must be bliss, and this manwha does it well via its flexibility of the mood, mostly seen through character interactions and input.

There are some pertaining faults in the manwha regarding the power creep formula of the story, however, it does not take away the enjoyment from the vast amount of characters this story incorporates and expands upon. As a serious manwha, this excels in its craft; as a comedy manwha, this excels in its craft. There are also some anti-hero-like attributes regarding the main character as well, so if that suits your boat, then you’d probably love this story in general.
