Tactical narrative with depth, growth and a solution.

There's a scene from 'Sarusuberi: Miss Hokusai' that is quite comparable to what this manga 'Vitamin' achieves:
There's a commissioned painting of scenes from Hell in the back room that has been giving the madam of the house visions of death. This story really got to me in a way most don't I actually felt how the characters felt, and this this happens very little. when the girl was getting bullied i felt her emotional trama, the feeling of being frightened to live through it again and not wanting to, so she stayed home and drew manga. I understand the reason drawing manga was to important to her coping process, and I feel like after she realized she had a purpose to go on, she grew into a stronger person overall. The ending of this manga really got to me as well, you can understand her ...

In many other shoujo series Kouta's abusive attitude towards his girlfriend Sawako would be fetichized, but what the author shows us is what the character actually is: an unrespectful jerk. And "thanks" his reckless behavior Sawako becomes a bullying victim and slut-shamed as hell( and slut-shaming is a problem in Japan, just see what happened to the AKB0048 ...
