While the premise of both the manga is very different, what is common to both is how people realize (or are made to realize) the importance of being/staying alive, and how it's never too late to make a difference.

Both have sidekick that represents shikigami, and have a troubled past too. I forgot to mention that both sidekick have a pretty similar appearances and a little in attitude.

Both short stories involve a team of two, dealing with souls, unveiling their mysteries, resolving regrets.

Both manga discuss the basic premise of what happens to a human soul after a human dies - and how the soul is given options to choose from, which ascertain its future. However, while Skyhigh follows an episodic approach to this subject, in Livingstone, the premise is set up as a stepping stone to a larger arc - focusing specifically on one person's lost soul.

Both share the theme of death. In Route End, it's the main character's job to clean up remnants of the dead. In Livingstone, they deal with souls.

Both are stories where the characters try to directly or indirectly help others when something corrupts a person's soul leading them to commit things against their will. The main characters investigate and try to get rid of the creatures causing problems to others.

Similar concept of people's bodies being used by a "company" to carry out some sort of activity. Both works contemplate about the worth being alive.

Despite on having a serious tragic past... and getting thrown on a slump One person committed to live or to die for... In fact some mysterious guy lends him a hand... They truly had a similar and detective vibes which people unheard off Powers are based on their ideals, justice or in a syndicate way.. Cases like this could make much of a scenario due to exception.. which lead them into misery Plus the goofy humor also added as a gag and until it become much more dark urban state
