I think these two mangas are really similar because of two reasons: first of all, in both of them, one of the main characters faces the death of a dear person - but later falls in love with someone who helps him/her to get over it. Secondly, in the later parts, these mangas deal with long distance relationship. I highly recommend both of them.

Sweet slice of life with a similar melancholy feeling.

Koizora and Sand Chronicles are both mangas about a girl thinking she will stay with the guy forever, but she then must make a heart wrenching decision, which will end up hurting both either way. Two VERY DRAMATIC reads, and very satisfying for a day when you just feel like doing nothing but read sob stories.

Sunadokei spans across a much longer time frame (childhood-adulthood) than Peach girl (high school only), and Peach girl is a bit more focused on "relationship issues" than "life issues" in comparison to Sunaodkei, although both topics are present in each. However, both are "classic" shoujo manga from the early 2000s that centre around love triangles and a "will they, won't they" dynamic that can be frustrating but also keeps you reading on.

Both are similar genres (slice of life, romance, drama), although the relationship conflict in each stems from different things - in Kare Kano it's more centered around personal issues, while Sunadokei is about the relationship itself and is more of a love triangle dynamic. In addition to this, they both have a lot of character development, and both appear to be typical shoujos but actually cover quite heavy topics (family issues, mental illness, loneliness, etc). If you like one you will probably like the other as well.

Although Chihayafuru is really a sports/competition manga and Sunadokei is purely a slice of life, both are coming of age stories that follow three childhood friends as they grow up and their simple friendship becomes more complicated. They invoke similar feelings when reading, have similar themes, and also kind of similar characters. Romance is the focus of Sunadokei from the beginning while Chihayafuru it is more of an underlying theme / subplot

They both follow very similar timelines. If you read both, you'll get what I mean. Both heavily emphasis first loves and true love. Similar to Bokura ga Ita, these three series have a character with a sad/traumatic past, a love interest to their character and another love rival(s). The side male character are all extremely similar as they're polite and kind while the main male character are like a sun to the main female character.

Same mangaka so the artwork and the atmosphere is quite similar. Both of these mangas use quite strong metaphors: in Piece it is the bus, that means our choices between different ways of life and in Sunadokei it is the sand chronicle meaning the continuous flow of time and the passing of life. The main characters are different: in Piece there is a quite strong female character supporting the weaker, fallible guy. In Sunadokei it is the opposite: Ann is really fragile and Daigo means her support. Both of these mangas are addictive (especially Sunadokei) and you cannot stop till the last page. The setting is a bit similar, since the girl goes to live to the town where the guy lives, and falls in love. The guy helps the girl with her problems. The girl goes back to Tokyo, they get separated, then again are reunited.......... In Summary, pretty much the same, but Sand chronicles is much more dramatic.

Both manga are about finding new people and meeting new friends in a different environment and finding a first love. What I found similar was the emphasis on all the "firsts" and the outcome versus the expectation. I loved both (enough to give them tens) and I would strongly recommend them.

Both of these drama/romance shoujo have similar overtones. Both have very real stories and romance and are great reads.

Both cover similar topics and have a heavy focus on the themes of time, mental illness, and regret. They also both incorporate a lot of time skips, although Orange is more focused on high school experiences while Sunadokei follows the characters all the way from childhood to adulthood. If you liked one you will probably enjoy the other.

Both series take place over a large chunk of time (15ish years) and show the leads falling in and out of love and relationships and show that it's ok and natural.

They are both tokio girls that move to a town, first they don't like it and then a boy apears, i like the art in bboth mangas even though they are very different, lots and lots of drama

both story involves a girl who's torn between two guys who despises one another. I think I can also add the fact that the girl has a bit of ~ungirly~ attitude.

Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu is beautiful like Sand Chronicles. Kimi ni Sasagu goes through the character's life starting from children similar to Sand Chronicles, although in Kimi ni Sasagu, the story of the characters as kids is more brief while Sand Chronicles goes through their main character's life very steadily. There are many, many differences between these two manga but I believe if you can appreciate one of them, you can appreciate both. My only warning to Boku no Hatsukoi readers: in the beginning, the art is quite questionable. But as the characters get older, the art  read more
