NO YOU DO NOT NEED TO NECESSARILY READ THE PREQUEL TO READ Gosu. SOME CHARACTERS FROM THERE DO APPEAR BUT THAT HAS MINIMAL AFFECT ON THE READER'S UNDERSTANDING OF THE PLOT. (I haven't read the prequel myself).
With that out of the way, let me introduce you to 'Gosu'.
A martial arts manhwa centered around Gang Yong, the disciple of the greatest martial artist and leader of the Pacheon Clan, Doko Yong, 'Gosu' follows Gang's journey as he searches for and plans to destroy the 4 best disciples of his master who betrayed him and assumingly left him dead.
'Gosu' begins as a light hearted series with the

story split into seemingly unrelated arcs but after around 50 chapters, the plot really picks up and we see action packed fights with actually funny comedic moments in between which provide the story a really smooth flow and also add to Gang's character development.
The art is not just amazing but neat as well, a characteristic often not found in most manhwa. The action can be easily followed and the dialogue is easy to read as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed this great manhwa. If a martial arts manhwa with good comedy, epic fights, great art and a decent plot is what you want to read next, then look no further than 'Gosu'.
