Mosquito Wars is the 3rd work from Ji-Hoon Jeong (JH), following I Have Something to Tell You and The Horizon. While an enjoyable series overall, it does feel undermined by its mismanagement of tone and relevancy.

In its beginning, Mosquito Wars is uber grim and uber serious. The stakes that are established are thoroughly unforgiving, the immediacy and danger of the threat is very real and felt, and hope lies on a string balance which could be lost at any moment. I've got to hand it to JH for doing a great job establishing the scene through his knack for combining his artistic talents with cinematic ...

Preliminary (49/49 chp)
This manhwa is set in a post apocalyptic earth where humans are near extinction due to a war against mutated mosquitoes, thanks to this, and how the humans struggle to survive, it made me feel something I hardly find in other mangas, some sense of profound admiration and honor. It also has the feeling of "epic" battles that one punch man has, but this time both sides are strong.
It also tries to make you think about the always ongoing conflicts between humans.

The art and scenery is mostly really simple, but it gets the job done really well.

Well guys that was a rollercoaster and unexpected. I really thought it was just going to be a group of soliders fighting off evil blobbies (they are known to be mosquitoes) but there has been a lot more than that. I really liked the character Kisses like she is quite a strong character who would make a great leader even if she is considered the youngest. I didn’t expect she was going to partner up with a white Titan (well technically he’s a doctor who transformed himself) and I swear, it was literally over the top with him singing a K-pop song (Twice - Like ...

Mosquito war is the 3rd work of one of my favorite authors, however, it is a very underwhelming one.

It has a similar premise to The horizon but worse in every single way. Not a single good character is presented in Mosquito War, greatly caused by the short runtime. 48 chapters were not enough for such a grand story, a lot could be done but was missed.

Characters 3/10, poorly written, and lack motives. There was no depth to the main character whatsoever, the only present was her will to become stronger. Dr kim was even worse, he is supposed to be the most important character ...
