Honomieru Shounen

Phantom seer’s phantoms are very similar to jujutsu kaisen’s curses, however it doesn’t have the depth in combat and the character’s aren’t as likeable. A couple of the phantoms look cool though

Two young people who can see supernatural beings without a physical body.
The monsters are grotesque and have no fixed form.

<> Mieruko-chan: Miko sees them but doesn't do anything about it (the ghosts don't kill people), Honomieru Shounen: Iori sees them but is reluctant to take them out, though he eventually does it (the ghosts are able to kill people)

* Focus on a male character with some sort of magical power.
* Female side character who is saved and then trained by the male lead.
* Characters battle demons/monsters who they then exorcise.
* Cancelled shounen manga.
* Modern setting.

Noragami addpermalink

Fun and beautifully drawn urban fantasy shounen that have a slightly softer feel than the gigantic Jump battle titles. Two of the three main characters are a good looking but boorish bastard with a heart of gold and a girl who stumbles into the supernatural at the start of the series. Phantom Seer's future is still undecided, but at least the premises and the respective styles feel very much in the same vein.

A boy and a girl in their high school years fight against spirits and paranormal creatures. Furthermore, an older female relative acts as the sensei of the pair.
