Each of these failed series got a vocal cult following on the week they launched. People across social media assumed they were guaranteed to be the next big thing, based on nothing but first impressions and personal headcanon. Of course, that isn't how any of them turned out, and even to this day many of those cult fans can't accept the outcome. Not all that different from what would later happen to 'Star Wars: The Acolyte'. They remain as cautionary tales about what happens when you count your chickens before they hatch. Weekly Shonen jump… a magazine that has been around for decades and has produced gems such as Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Death Note and so on. However, while the magazine has produced many beloved series there have been many that have not received the same treatment. This list will cover all of the weekly Shonen jump series that have gone undepreciated if and if not deserved, and ultimately were axed from the magazine. (Still working on list) Here the mangas that have been canceled from 2015 onwards will be listed Includes all recent mangas cancelled in the Weekly Shonen jump. Does not include on hiatus Mangas, cancelled mangas for ethical reasons (Act age), and transferred series. Series that failed to be popular enough in Japan and couldn't sell well enough to dig out of the hole. Series that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2020, ordered by start date. |
