Synopsis

A normal high school student, Yuuto Morioka was chosen to be a candidate for the next devil king. He transferred to the academy for the devils, Ginsei Academy where he was held in disdain by other students.

Yuuto's encounter with a beautiful devil, Lizel Himekami changed his life and his world. He could learn any kind of magic instantly and absorb magic power infinitely by getting skin contact with his girl retainers. This has to be one of, if not my favorite novel from Kuji. After reading HxH and Ecstas Online, you really notice his growth as an author.

In short, the story goes like this: one day, Yuuto wakes up to find that devils and magic actually exist, and he is chosen to fight in the Devil King War as the Candidate of Lovers Arcana, which is considered the weakest. Once he enters Ginsei Academy, or Devil King Academy whichever you prefer, he meets qith a girl called Lizel, who whishes to help make him Devil King, along with Miyabi and Reina, who become his Cards. Okay, just stumbled onto this today. I knew this one from back when it only has 3 chapters translated or so and the poster itself is misleading not to mention the website I read the synopsis are having comment section and someone commented about the series that made me summarize this as "another version of sex and dungeon (search about it for culture purpose only)" and boy how they really get on the ropes right there. This is the story of Morioka Yuuto, an ordinary human boy that one morning got the "arcana" of lovers.

Mixed Feelings
MAL preliminary review system needs a bit of polishing. Here's my review once again, the exact same review I posted a year or so ago when the series concluded. It'd be so nice if the site could just update my chapters count to the correct number instead of putting my review as a preliminary, hiding from the series main page, thx.

It is said that this is only part 1. However, I doubt Maou Gakuen no Hangyakusha part 2 will ever come out due to sales. That is my suspicion.
