Decided to redo this review on another read.

**Plot**

The story is about what you'd expect from a yuri, although it's a bit more ecchi and has some problematic moments near the end. It gets a bit dark and feels like it was just executed poorly overall. The way it plays out and how characters respond makes me mad, but it's short lived and the rest of the story is done fairly well. It kinda sours the mood though and makes it harder to enjoy the end and aftermath chapters though. It's just too left field and rushed feeling ... so it feels out of place. I can understand the idea behind it some, but it probably should be something more lighthearted to match the tone of the story better.

It's a rough spot, but I do genuinely think overall it's a pretty decent story.

**Characters**

There's a good variety of characters and I like how they were approached for the most part. There's some iffy moments though and one character outright sucks. The main 4 are pretty sweet at times though, even if they aren't perfect.

**Art**

Like most yuri the art is pretty damn adorable at times. There are a few spots that feel a bit off, but it looks really good overall.

**Enjoyment**

It's a lot of fun until you get sucker punched with some dark shit, but it's still pretty good despite that.

I don't know who need to see this but i would feel bad saying nothing

I'm not sensitive to this stuff, but it blindsided me so hard it actually just made me feel like shit.

The bullying in the first 2 chapters might seem like a lot, but it softens up quicly. Not too unlike another bullying manga/anime. After that its just standard echi, albeit rather raunchy. Then chapter 29 throws in a scene that feels incredibly out of place in a manga like this. It honestly soured my taste a lot for the whole thing. I think you can ... depict rape in manga, so long as the reader knows what they're getting themselves into. This felt downright jarring. The entire time i was expecting it to pull a quick one on me and go back to being a lighthearted comedy.

Anyway, needed to get that thought out of my head, have a nice day.

Joshikou dakara Safe is an example of how a plot twist or ending can utterly ruin an entire story. For the majority of the manga, it is quite fun, albiet being pretty generic for a yuri. If you still want to read this manga id recommend reading anywhere from chapter 22-24 and then dropping it. up until this point, I was enjoying the manga.

Sadly, a single arc ruins this. Either the author didn't know how to smoothly make a confession happen for the main couple, or they wanted to put in some dramatic twist. What came out ... of it was a of blackmail rape plot involving the main character, to upset her love interest. This is quite jarring. What makes it worse is how the manga handles it, as the tone of the story is still comedic, while sexual assault is happening. This ruined the manga for me, and left a horrible taste in my mouth.

the main problem. as mentioned above, the rape arc ruined this for me. Before that, the manga felt much more like a slice-of-life, and not much plot, the one exception being the side characters, two of which having short and sweet romance arc.

Characters: 6:
Most of the main cast was good. the one exception being the main character, whose bullying can go a bit too far in my personal opinion, and she was quite prone to blatant sexual assault.
