It's a simple story really, but what makes a story is the journey getting to the end. I enjoy the story more than others because it hits close to home. Growing up and being through what MC had been, it gives me a "what could have been" vibe all around.
Art wise, it's surprisingly good for an older manga. At first, it was a pain to see because it's blurry and a bit jumbled up. Eventually, it grew on me and I like how the characters are drawn. No ecchi stuff, no nonsense. The characters are rather pure and how'd you expect for people living in

the village side. Character development is good too, the MC grows a pair of balls and admits that he's been running away all this time.
Like I said, the story is decent but the journey there was amazing. It may be because of the nostalgic feel for me but I personally enjoy stories that give hope and courage to readers. It slightly inspires me to push forward and think about my plans for the future, so it's rather revealing to me.
All in all, I'm giving it a 9, purely based off the nostalgia and hope that I've gotten. It's very vanilla with a few heated moments here and there, though the ending does seem a bit rushed, but that was expected since the story fell flat at one point. But I like it. If you like nostalgia too or are having problems with studies, whether you're a student who's confused or an adult filled with regrets, this one's for you.
