This manga is terrible. It doesn't do anything that it set out to accomplish in volume 1 and doesn't know what it's trying to be.
Art - 7/10
This was the only redeemable thing about this manga. The art isn't anything exceptional or unique, but it is good. This is the only reason I haven't given this manga the lowest possible score.
Characters - 1/10
The characters are all one dimensional and lack any depth. Of the main 3 (and later 4) protagonists, the male protagonist is a useless simp heavily dependent on the female protagonists to survive and do anything. There is only one distinct moment in
...
the whole manga where he provides any useful benefit and even then, all he provides is some information on the lives of some zombified characters before they became zombies.
The women are all overpowered and flawless characters without any weaknesses. Even the little girl they meet along the way is OP as she survives the zombie outbreak because of a riduliculous ability, which is explained by some generic idea taken straight from Z Nation, if anybody had watched that show. If you know about Murphy, you know what I'm talking about.
The women in this manga are either being r***d, used for fanservice or being the most intelligent and physically strong characters in the whole thing, defying all reasonable logic.
There are no explanations of the backstories of any of the protagonists. In fact, in the final volume (volume 6) some random human enemy who has a similar power to the the Murphy-like little girl I mentioned earlier comes outta nowhere and gets bodied by the little girl, yet even that dude has better backstory than any of the protagonists. You know, because he at least gets a few panels instead of zero like the main characters.
Story - 1/10
The first volume sets up the idea of building a Kingdom of zombies. By the end of the manga, there isn't a kingdom of anything. Just a heavily fortified area. The protagonists just leave when the final battle is done and then we get a random timeskip showing us the 4 protagonists trying to do the exact same thing they've done for the whole manga but now in a different area of Japan. The ecchi in this is garbage too. This story doesn't know whether it wants to be a comedy, an action or an ecchi and it fails at all of them.
As far as how the story progresses, it follows a very simple format of:
Genius woman plans this --> dumb man raises doubts --> genius woman explains away the doubt --> dumb man and other characters follow --> plan always succeeds without fail because genius woman planned for every possibility and predicted what would happen --> rinse and repeat.
Multiply that like 10 times and you have the basic premise of the story.
Enjoyment - 2/10
What more can I say really.
Conclusion/TLDR
If you came looking for a horny time then look elsewhere. If you came looking for something like High-school of the Dead then look elsewhere. If you came looking for a cool action packed or heavy zombie story then look elsewhere.
Don't waste your time reading this. Whatever you're looking for in this manga, you will be left unsatisfied and disappointed. This is NOT anything like the quality that is High-school of the Dead. I love anything to do with zombies but this was dumpster fire garbage.
