Unless you are stuck in work like me i cant honestly say that this manga is worth the read. The main characters Anna is really, really stupid and because of this the story just keeps on running on the same tracks all the time.
Heres pretty much how every storyline has gone down so far -

1. Something happens
2. Anna misunderstands what just happened
3. She panics and does something ridicilously stupid
4. Anna cries
5. Somebody tells her she misunderstood.
6.Apology by somebody to someone.
7. She forgets everything she learned and simply does stupid things again.
...
The characters are not very well designed either. I think this manga is meant for girls (im a guy) and maybe somebody somewhere can relate to these kind of problems but its not like the the main two dudes are that sharp either.

Sou (one with the black hair) is a total moron. Sou's main idea in the show is to have a crush on Anna so that their relationship as "Just childhood friends" is troubled. This leads in all kinds of lame scenes where he announces how he loves her and she cant deal with it and makes him angry. This got really boring, fast.

The other guy of the story (one with white hair) Hinata is meaned to be there really to just fix up the fights that Sou and Anna have. It was hinted that He was in love with Anna but unlike Sou, he preferred to keep it to himself. Luckily the writer of this story realized that this Love triangle of sorts is boring and kicked Hinata out and made him move to Tokyo. I think this was a smart choice because he didnt really have any reason to around other than look good. Now he is a sort of email-supporting kind of guy for Anna.

So Anna, where do i even begin. I have never seen main girl so stupid as her. She keeps jumping between guys and crying over it all the time. She keeps rambling over and over again how she cant fall in love with his childhood friend and still does it. I like how she admits how retarted she is for whining about it and then actually falling in love but that is short lived after she missunderstands something for the hundredth time and starts crying. If she wasent so cute i would have stopped reading this long before it even started.

With all that said i must admit that the show does get better around 20th chapter as Hinata leaves the scene and the last two graduate to high school. Couple of more characters were introduced who look like they could bring more spice to this series if they are kept as a part of the show...

the plot is so unoriginal in my point of view it`s the same idea of love triangle between childhood friends that was presented in different things

the characters are like all shoujo mangas but at the same time each one has it`s own specialty like sou who is always angry loves pokemon so much and hinata loves painting , anna is also a little different on how she looks at everything ,she is the type of character who is always confused about what she is doing

( i have to say that usually i hate this type if mangas when the heroine is ... always doing the wrong thing and failing in everything but this manga had a little charm that i couldn`t understand maybe it`s because although it is a stereotypical manga sometime it`s hard to predict the events "

the art is cute not unique but cute and the chibi faces are adorable

so as i said this manga is not original so if you are searching for an original one this is not for you

After reading much of the manga (as far as my manga app has posted for now), I got on MyAnimeList (my most trusted source) to see if they have made it into an anime. Out of curiosity, I looked at the reviews. I was actually surprised to see what horrible reviews this manga had.

This is my first review. After seeing the horrible reviews, I made an account right away to write this.
I have made anime reviews in the past via YouTube, and I generally know what to look at, so it isn't like I am some amateur.

Nonetheless, let us begin.


Story: 7
Yes, ... I agree, the story is actually pretty unoriginal. But has anyone ever thought about why this kind of story is so overused? Because it is usually very popular. I do think the story is intended more towards female readers, as it is a love of one girl and two guys, but I don't think quite so many people in general would dislike it if they just read it without such high expectations. From this type of story, you cannot enjoy it if you expect too much. If you are narrow-minded, do not bother reading it because you will just be another hater of this manga. Despite the overuse of this type of story, I think the plot is well written out. It has annoying and boring parts. It has flaws. But then again, doesn't every manga?

Art: 9
Maybe it's just me, but I thoroughly enjoy the art of this manga. The chibi drawings are adorable and I happen to like the art style. This is simply personal preference within every reader though.

Characters: 8
While I agree the characters are kind of cliché, I actually find them to be quite enjoyable. They are cliché, but they create a type of character foil that is not always conveyed in other mangas with similar plots. In case you do not know what character foil is, it means characters contrast one another. The main girl, Anna, is very much hated by readers because of how flawed she is. I personally like her. Readers expect the characters to obtain perfection since they aren't real life. The way she is, is exactly how we humans are in real life. People don't think about it, but that is why she annoys many readers. I think her character is a realistic personality that gives the story more of a relatable feel. As for Sou and Hinata, they very much contrast. It creates an interesting diversity for later in the story (it contains spoilers so I will not reveal what this is).

Enjoyment: 10
So far, I really adore this manga. If you're like me, and you read this manga with low expectations, you will probably (not a guarantee, but probably) enjoy it, as well. I love reading it and I look forward to when my manga app posts a new chapter every week for me!

It has flaws. I agree. It's not perfect, but no manga is perfect. I think this manga is very underrated. It is a bit cliché, so I cannot put it over an 8, because to an actual critic's eye, it probably won't be a very good manga, but this manga, to me, has a certain charm that other manga with this type of plot doesn't have.

I found this manga pretty unoriginal, and it just kept kind of going on and on and on. I read it because I liked the art style, but other than that, I can say that it wasn't worth reading. Anna really stupid and dense it's not even funny, and the "popular childhood friends" thing is not interesting at all. I guess you should read it if you can put up with the stupidity of Anna, and if you really want to read it.

A lot of people says this manga is not very original, but I say "So what?". It's story and characters portrays a real life story. I could say Anna portrays someone like myself. The art style is good and unique. The story is not cliche, unlike those story that are predictable. It's boring me. I love this manga, its born with thrill and excitement! I could say, I've fallen in love with Hinata~ It's so sweet. Hinata nor Sou doesn't blush, though but that also mean that the story portrays base on Anna's P.O.V. and furthermore, Anna idiosity is very funny XD. I love the ... plot and the confusion is lovable!~ Something like a mystery-thriller manga! (without the criminal.xp) Somehow, I could say this manga is worth the time.

Oh, and lets count the morals. It tells more about freindship, so if your asking why its boring you, it because it focuses more on the friendship of the three. So please don't say its unoriginal. Its just too unique, it's blurring your eyes. XD. =^-^= »» (v•w•)v v(•w•v)««

Absolutely amazing manga. I love it from start to ummm well it's ongoing so I love it from start to recently updated chapter! It's nice to read about childhood friends, love and triangles. I liked it a lot in particular for the characters. Each character is special to me in some different way and they each have their own little trait which you can't help but love. Even the side characters are awesome :D Definitely recommend this manga. The art is pretty good too. Everything about it is great has me hooked!

Usually I'm really into this type of manga. Oblivious girl, boys who get jealous of each other, love rivals, etc., and I must say that I have read a lot shoujos that revolve around the same storyline, but since I'm specifically looking for them, I'm not bothered by it. But this time I must say that I was honestly bored and so not hooked, yeah maybe I was even a bit angry by their actions.
The characters weren't able to reach me at all, I didn't get a fussy "doki doki" feeling. It all seems like as if they were all spoiled kids who are ... looking for love as an entertainment factor and to "mature"/depart from their childhood, yet they are clinging to it. The relationships aren't clear enough (like honestly, that wasn't even a love triangle), and the situations to keep the story rolling were so poorly that I was asking myself "why".

All in all I would try to look for something else, you won't be lucky with it.

I started reading Stardust Wink out of sheer desire for a distraction - this manga did the job, and kept me unceasingly entertained through the stunning art, dramatic storyline, and humor sprinkled timelessly throughout the chapters. Although I’m usually not a sucker for romance and love triangles, the lead characters were too gorgeous to resist, and although cliché, the storyline had a way of making your heart beat faster and rooting for the main character, Anna.

Story: 7/10
(+) Good combination of romance, humor, and drama
(-) Love triangle with her childhood friends were cliché, often grew predictable as the story progressed, although not enough for me to ... render the plot dull.

Characters: 7/10
(+) Characters are each very unique. Sou, Anna’s childhood friend is very popular with girls but is secretly a Pokémon geek. Hinata, Anna’s other childhood friend that she develops a liking for, has a fetish for animals and is brilliant with art. Finally, Anna is our more stereotypical shoujo heroine; innocent, clueless, but lovable.
(-) Anna’s ineptitude at reading the situation was at times infuriating, and she is constantly indecisive on her feelings (which is inevitable considering the entire plot revolves around a love triangle. Still, it makes the reader grow wary after 42 chapters of, “What is this feeling in my chest? Does he /really/ like me?”

Art: 9/10
(+) The characters are GORGEOUS, although,
(-) Not particularly “unique”. Resembles typical shoujo art, but fits (+) perfectly with the story.

Overall: 7/10
A year from now, I probably wouldn’t be able to recall the names and plot of Stardust Wink. Although not particularly memorable, the manga is very adorable and illustrates a charming view of young love, first dates, and entering a new high school that’ll definitely capture your heart. Overall, Stardust Wink will keep you entertained and is a good way to pass the time and I would recommend it to anyone interested in a light read.

SIDE NOTE: they stopped posting updates November 2013 so we’ve been stuck at a cliffhanger for quite some time :/

Let me say first, that I already read the other reviews and I wasn't surprised that they weren't satisfied with it. (Because I wasn't, for many reasons.)

Also I'm not yet finished, but I was in the part where Hinata left already. (Thankfully this happened, Hinata doesn't serve so much purpose when it comes to love. Rather, it takes him time to even tell Anna that he likes her.)

The art is okay, but the story, and the characters aren't.
It's just the same thing over and over again.
Anna keeps on crying like a child, it's annoying. (I like strong heroines)
The two guys, Hinata and Sou, don't ... appear to know much about liking someone.
Rather, they don't know how to treat the person they love.

And the plot is very boring and it's not original. I've read so many shoujo manga, same for anime, but this one sucked the most so far. I'm moving to shounen.

I'd rather see Junjou Romantica rather than this boring ####. (Keeping it PG)
Also, I'm a girl, who has been reading shoujo for four years.
I've never seen a cheesy/unoriginal story in my shoujo life.

Though, even if it's cheesy, just as long as the author made it unique in their own way, it would actually be really good. But not this one.
It's like a compilation of other shoujos.

I finished reading Love-Berrish! so I look up the author's other works because I like her drawing. Then I found Stardust★Wink and thought I should read it since its already complete. So here's my review after finish all the chapters.

STORY - 5
I like the first chapters, but after I read more of it I got bored. Cause it's the same thing over and over again. The lead characters cannot choose who she likes or rather doesn't understand her feelings, and got all the guys sad (& mad). So she fought with Hinata and didn't talk for almost a year (or half, I ... forgot), then she fought with Sou also. And it's the same problems all over again, it actually pissed me off how she can toy with their feelings, even tho she doesn't do it on purpose.

ART - 8
The only high score I gave for this manga.

CHARACTER - 6
There's a time that every character has pissed me off lol. Tho I prefer Sou better than the others since he's the one that got hurt most of the time.

ENJOYMENT - 7
I read this manga because of it romance highschool harem, but I didn't really get the same feeling when I read Love-Berrish!, I like Love-Berrish! more tho I thought Stardust★Wink has more potential.

OVERALL - 6
I force myself to read till the end because I thought she will end up with Sou, since he has the personality of the lead guy in most shoujo manga. BUT no, I the only thing I get after reading all of it is disappointment....

I really loved this Manga, and I couldn't stop reading it until I finished it. I enjoyed it so much. It's captivating, it's funny and there were several moments where my heart skipped a beat. But the ending for me was a bit sad... (even though it was supposed to be happy).

She loved both Sou and Hina, and both of them really loved her too. But I feel like with Hinata there was something missing.

Hinata only kept a distance from Anna because he was afraid that Sou would get hurt. He was doing it for Sou. He didn't think about Anna's feelings. Sou ... did the opposite. He decided to put his own feelings aside because he kept Anna’s feelings on sight. Because he thought Anna would be happier being with Hinata, he supported their relationship. Of course he did it for Hinata as well (they were best friends after all), but the fact that he was always looking at Anna (even at a distance sometimes) was what touched my heart. He would always do everything thinking about her…

While Hinata was always running away from his fears (like when he didn’t tell Anna he liked her, when he was in a weird relationship with Mari-sensei, or when crazy Mari-sensei was back again in the story at his new school and he hided it from Anna), Sou was standing still, facing all his problems and fears. Even though it must have hurt him so much, Sou kept thinking about what would be best for Anna in every situation and doing everything he could over and over again. And even when he decided to keep a distance from Anna (which may seem selfish at first), he did it so she could work things out with Hinata, because he knew she liked him.

I wish the person Anna chose to be with was the one that not only she loved (since she loved both), but also the person who stood up for her the entire story. Sou was always there for her in the moments she needed, she was always his priority. He cherished her the most, so I was really sad for him at the ending.

I feel like Hinata was Anna’s first love, and like all first loves, he was really important to her and made a huge impact in her heart. But life happens and feelings change. And all that confusion in her head was that she didn’t realized what was going on yet. She loved Hinata first, they decided to become a couple and thinking rationally, she should be happy. But she wasn't. She liked Hinata for so long, fought so hard for him, and now that it was all settled, why wasn't she happy? Because after all the things that happened, Sou conquered a bigger place in her heart. Sou was her new love. Her feelings have changed and now she liked Sou the best. And I think the Manga ended right in the middle of her realizing all that.
