90. A Drunken Dream and Other Stories* MaL separated this into two entries, "Hanshin" and "Iguana no Musume"
100. Cardcaptor Sakura: Master of the Clow is the actual N. 100 aka the last 6 volumes of the original Cardcaptor Sakura manga.

Not everyone likes these adaptations but the intention is either to please those of us who like to see these things or at least take these manga into account to expand the list.

These mangas can range from emotional roller coasters to psychological thrillers with deep meanings reflecting back on society. Each of the different genres make me feel some type of way so if you're looking for something to read that is worth your time and not a boring manga then hopefully you randomly pick a manga from this compiled list and you have a great time!

Manga against the patriarchy.

Manga critical of war and militarism. Showing the atrocities of war, the consequences of it or promoting diplomacy and peaceful conflict resolution. Some of them also critically dealing with wars in Japanese history.

Some interesting manga centered around (or set in the backdrop of) war between nations in and around (an analogous version of) the modern era, with a slight emphasis towards the late modern period and beyond. I'll try my best to include a good amount of variety of locations / settings.

I curated this list based on the amount of discourse each of these stories presents about the historical context of a war, or makes considerable effort to deliver storylines that depict war strategies or the lives of combatants or an explanation of national politics.

I will try not including sequels, prequels, or spin-offs in this list, unless they are significantly different in nature to the original, in an effort to avoid repetition or bias towards any particular stories.

I tend to like series with these criteria to them, so here's a list of them. Feel free to give me recs of stuff to add!

Manga dealing with the lives of married couples and individuals, or those in a domestic partnership.

An ever growing list of hits set in the early Showa Era. For convenience, I have put the division at 1945.
