Slow pace, slow romance, cuteness overload and a protagonist that is always smiling~~~ also both give you a slice of life feeling.

The main chars. are the similar and its about working at cafes/bakeries and making people happy
reportRecommended by kihoon11
Both main-characters are hard-working, naïve, adorable, selfless and clueless characters. Not in an annoying way. Also, both are reverse harem manga with good looking guys falling in love with the main-character (partly unknowing). In spite of the laid-back comedic feeling, all the characters got a dark past. But while Fruits Basket grows darker and more dramatic with love revelations, Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume has yet to reach that state. Both series are very enjoyable for people liking shoujo comedy with a cute plot - without TOO much romance.

Both female leads are cute petite little girls with amazing physical strength and a certain degree of naivety that adds to their character instead of detracting from it. Both also tend to hang around guys who have slightly sour personalities (although their hearts are good!)
reportRecommended by Breezie-D
Both girls are really cheery, and hold back on crying when they can. Uru from SKS likes people a lot more than Hime from SK; even though both get along with people really well, Hime gets mad more. Both gave me a similar feel when reading it. There are really funny parts with sad undertones.

Girl Works in store crazy HOT guys to brighten up her day! Oh and romance! May I say more??

They are both stories about a girl who works in a bakery or a cafe and knows two boys who help her out.

If you love one you will definitely love the other. Both mangas have a cute girl who looks more like an elementary school girl due to their small stature and baby faces. They fall in love with guys who are very strict and mostly scowling. SKS is about a girl who works out a bakery and there is a huge love triangle between the two hot bishies she works with, and Help! is about a girl who wants to become a doctor and falls in love with her teacher. Both mangas have a very innocent vibe to them and are very very enjoyable. They will leave  read more

Both mangas are about a girl who is very short for her age so she gets mistaken for an elementary school kid. Both are very cute, and I think that if you like SKS, you'll like Hiyokoi too.

The main character is a strong, optimistic girl with a great capacity to love and to draw out the good in others. She also has a past she does not remember due to some kind of accident/traumatic experience that people don't want her to remember until the time is just right. Despite that, she finds love and is able to move beyond her past by using the trauma as a source of strength.

Both are hilarious and have a main character with amazing strength despite having a small stature. Both series will give you hours of fun

I don't know why no one else recommends this because Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume and Ouran High School Host Club are so similar! - First off, both are reverse harem with tons of handsome guys :) - The protagonists, Haruhi and Uru both have this bright and optimistic aura that seems to draw out smiles and happiness in other characters (and myself). - Both protagonists are also very dense/oblivious when it comes to love and such so it's really adorable to see the relationships between them and other characters. - Both mangas are HILARIOUS! I'm not kidding you D:

Both the main characters are girls who are always thinking positive. SKS has a longer storyline, with more guys surrounding her; but LTMNM is more of a fantasy manga with a shorter story. I'm leaning more towards SKS, but both are good reads.

Both are to do with cooking. Although mixed vegetables has more ROMANCE than shiawase kissa..I loved both mangas. Shiawase has more comedy. Art is great in both. Good plot nice stories. Awesome characters.

These two stories have positive, outgoing, loud and enthusiastic main characters, Uru and Kyoko! The manga stories have a similar atmosphere, and while Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume is about a happy story at a café, Skip Beat! is a story about a girl who joined the entertainment business (showbiz) for revenge! They also have similarities according to the backgrounds of these main characters, and they way they portray the characters is quite similar too! *EXTRA: Skip Beat! even has an anime! I'm desperately waiting for the Second Season To be honest, I think Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume is actually a bit more mellow compared to the upbeat  read more

Similiarites: A energetic, cheerful, naive and yet mature heroine surrounded by people that care for and protect her. There is a notable age difference between some of the characters that is less prominent as the story progresses. There is romance! ^-^ Both manga's have a seemingly innocent story line that turns out to include elements of slice of life. A plot that keeps you interested and wondering what's going to happen next! Differences: Kodomo no Omocha is a shorter manga. In Kodomo no Omocha, the main characters are younger. The story line of Kodomo no Omocha is similar but a little more lighthearted. The life of a cafe worker compared  read more

Sakura is the same size as uru. They are both tiny and they don't look like they are in high school. Uru and Sakura both have crushes on guys who are older then they are. Their crushes are in denial that they have any feelings toward them, but they are actually in love with the main character. Both of these mangas are top funny. I guarantee that if you love this manga you'll also love shiawase kissa sanchoume. (a.k.a. Happy cafe)

Ah these manga are both so refreshing!! they are both absolutely adorable and both make you constantly burst out in laughter! the art isnt exactly similar but i love how both the mangaka use extreme expressions to show the humor in funny situations. the perfect mix of comedy and love! SKS is a way slower love development than LC but then they really have their own way to them so even though they are both in the same category, they arent really to be compared :D oh! and both of these i put off reading because the art looked too childish at first. DONT MISS  read more

Both mangas are created by the same person and are very similar. Ouji to majo adds a little bit of fantasy but if you loved one then you will definitely love the other.

Both heroines are happy go lucky and always smiling, they both have surprisingly abnormal strength for their tiny bodies. They both work together with handsome boys. Both are very well done mangas and if you like one you'll like the other.

More sweetness from cute kids and their strange highschool guardians.

the main characters are really small girls that are both physically and mentally strong. both manga are comedies and the interactions between the characters are similar

Both are about a girl and older guys protecting her, even if they are mean to her.

Its both shouje and it has lots of comdy in it. You get the same feeling while reading Kiss/hug, its like you want to read more of it and never stop till the end of it ^^. Here's the summary "Uru is a very short girl and is constantly mistaken for an elementary school kid, but despite that, she is ridiculously strong and decides to live by herself after her mother gets remarried. She ends up working at a small cafe with two rather unique co-workers, Shindou(demon king), who acts gruff and intimidating, but who is really a nice guy who loves to make cakes and pies  read more

Shoujo story lines and cute art with a somewhat clueless lead female. Both have reverse harem qualties.

Frankly, story-wise, it's different in plot though very similar in atmosphere. But the similarities with the characters are very uncanny. It's pretty much that the main female protagonist is overly positive and her smiles brighten everyone she's with. She also creates a strong impact on everyone she interacts with. She sticks her nose in other people's business without telling the person concerned because she cares. She's clumsy and lacks self-awareness, too. Plus, almost any guy she hangs out/interacts with end up falling in love with her. The main male protagonist has parental issues. They're perceived as stoic, but goes to great lengths to protect the main  read more

Both are shoujo manga containing cake and comedy as well as some romance. Both stories portray the daily life of a bakery/cafe; the employers, costumers and rivals. Also, I really think some of the characters are very alike. If you have enjoyed one of these titles, then I’m sure you will enjoy the other as well.

They both have girls who work in a cafe with other boys, one for the manger (Petit Four) and the other for money (Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume). They both get alnog quite well with there co-workers and have some sort of contol over them. If you like one you will like the other.

The main characters has a lot of similarities ~ they're both cute, petite, energetic, positive and they are involved in a love triangle between two cool guys. The guys in this manga also has a similarity to Shindou and Ichirou... Mizuki and Shindou looking like bad guys outside but actually has good hearts and like Ichirou, Toshinobu also faints when he's hungry. Most importantly, both series are light-hearted but really funny. Recommended to all Romantic Comedy fanatics out there who also likes SKS.
reportRecommended by Marshie-chan
The basic set up and characters are very similar to one another. Both main characters are always smiling, always trying to help those around them, they both have a "never-give up" attitude, they're a bit naive, and genuinely positive about their situations even though they have experienced sadness and loss. The plot lines involve budding (slow) romances, heartwarming scenes, the ever popular love triangle, and so much more! I would say that my only complaint would be that Himegimi was cut short and so the ending isn't up to par but everything up to that point is wonderful. They are both heartwarming mangas so if you  read more

Both mangas are slice-of-life shoujos that have likeable female leads. Although the story seems very typical and unremarkable in each other them, they both also have a quality that makes them both enjoyable reads. Furthmore, each have a suitor that is slightly tsundre.
reportRecommended by Breezie-D
Almost similar art and characters!? both excellent stories, funny, romantic, some drama and you will seriously fall in love with both stories!? XD

Raimon from Tsubasa reminds me of Ichirou from SKS: their indifference to their surroundings and the people around them is similiar and yet they get very concerned when it comes to the girl whom they are fond of. Both mangas are very funny esp in Tsubasa with Raimon's violence at odds with his apathetic outlook.

Shiawase has more of a romance story to it but both give you the same slice-of-life feeling. There aren't as many little kid scenes in shiawase but you do see them. Shiawase gives off the same type of caring and nurturing feelings as gakuen babysitters.
