Both have amazing art styles(they kinda look similar) and both protagonist live in a horrible life(but both of them have someone who is like a father figure for them) 

-Both have very similar settings and story structures. -The characters have special abilities, are part of an organization and they fight against demons/monsters. -Both take place in urban style Tokyo settings. 

-They both take place in present day Japan -They both deal with the occult and the supernatural -They both have teams of young characters and they have to fight against evil supernatural creatures -They have fun character casts 

summing up, monsters and humans living together, a case-solving agency and a half-demon dude 

Both of them are a horror story Bot of them are many mystery scenes and surprising events that will make you so hype to the next chapter  

Shonen about yokai living and fighting amongst themselves under the human's noses. (Also worth mentioning both have airhead MC) 

Both of these series have more dark stuff and horror scenes and more fire action scenes battle 

Both are about half ghouls adapting with human society Both stories focus on how the protagonists discover and utilize their nonhuman characteristics to become stronger and strive towards their goal. Kemono Jihen's protagonist comes to terms with his apotheosis much quicker than kaneki Both mangas have a more darker atmosphere to them, but Kemono Jihen is a bit more feelgood whereas Tokyo Ghoul is more realistic and gritty. 

-Both action manga with similar stories -Both have urban style Tokyo settings  

Both of them revolve around agencies that deal with supernatural beings. Both of them have very similar circumstances, the main characters from each manga get thrown into a crazy world filled with monsters and fantastical beings after living relatively peaceful and normal lives. Both of them have interesting art styles and are action packed. Both of them have characters with quirky/strong personalities. 

Both have a young kid joining a detective agency for dealing with the supernatural stuff. 

Both have great artstyles and story. I especially love the paneling in both of them! And the way each author colours covers is very good. Definitely one of my favourite artstyles in manga. The character designs are also great. Both deal with having magical/spiritual powers, discovering /working with them, and having a kinship that occurs because they are different from normal humans. I rarely recommend mangas that I read but they're both ones that I highly recommend because they're so good. Both hit pretty much every point I like to see in manga. Well written characters, darker themes with a hint of comedy, etc. They're both one of my favourite mangas and definitely both make me extremely excited to see an update!  read more
