Preliminary Spoiler

This is a real gem. The story is simple: two boys become friends as one introduces the other to the world of BL manga. However, every interaction feels so honest and real, and so much care is taken to develop the characters and their relationships to one another. The supporting cast really add a liveliness to the world, while the main characters are so relatable and compelling. Plus a lot of genuine humor.

You rarely get a manga about two guys longer than six chapters (unless it's all subtext and lasts 100+ chapters), and that's where this story really stands out. At eighteen chapters (so far), ...

There is a lot that can be said about Sasaki to Miyano and while all of it I would write glowing, purple prose over, a lot of it would be spoiler-y. So I'll do my best to sing my praise for this wonderful series without spoiling much.

Sasaki to Miyano's greatest charm, and something that I think isn't talked about enough, is that it technically isn't BL. (As it runs in a traditionally non-BL magazine and isn't necessarily labelled BL on the raws.) We as a reader are left in the dark over the developing feelings between the two titular leads - are these feelings ...

This is so unbelievably cute and funny. I found myself laughing a lot of times. I laughed a lot at Miyano BL fanboying and other characters BL fanboying/fangirling hahaha (the characters fanboy/fangirl a lot but they never cross the line, sexualizing or fantasizing about people, or forcing people together or wtv. Their fanboying is really soft imo and not really harmful. The people involved don't seem to care that much. I don't agree with shipping real people together in real life but this is not it). Also, I could relate hard with Miyano's enthusiasm about BL manga and finally having someone to share this interest ...

this manga is one of the few bl that I've found where both characters completely respect each other's boundaries. there are no sexual feelings (so far) and it´s honestly just puppy love.

the art is also incredible and the story is easy to understand. the panels are also clean and not crowded with text, some mangas have so much text in every panel that makes it very difficult to read.

have I mentioned how cute they are? I was thrown a little when the summary said that they shared bl manga, but it's not really that relevant in the story, it's mostly just to get them ...

Definitely one of my absolute favourite BL mangas.

I love the story pace and the relationship development. I especially liked their first meeting and how they bonded over the BL mangas. The chemistry between the two boys and how they carefully thought about their feelings for each other is absolutely adorable, I'm thrilled to see how their relationship develops and how they'll become more and more confident with the love they have for each other.

Would recommend to people who like a cutesy slow pace BL manga. It's also a gem to people who love Shounen Ai without a lot of sexual tension.

Old age does strange things to you.

Your body gets less durable, if you exercise too much without stretching, you suddenly get chronic aches in your joints, you seem to put on weight more easily, perception of time appears to speed up. And also, your "preferences" seem to...change. In ways you could have never predicted... and more often than not for the worse

Which leads me to Sasaki to Miyano.

As a red blooded white heterosexual privileged male (or so i'm told, even though i am a constantly broke, permanently unemployed and friendless incel) i feel highly uncomfortable with the fact that i now cannot deny the fact ...

i'll start off by saying that although i've put this at 9/10 overall with various factors considered, i do want to make a point that my enjoyment was definitely 10/10, which i personally think is the most important :D

(i did avoid discussing any specific content, so anything mentioned that hints at spoilers should be quite vague? but warnings just in case)
well, onto the review!

Story: 8/10

i quite enjoyed the pacing of this as a romance. IMO it's slow-burn-ish in the least uncomfortable way—our MCs don't get together right away by any means; however, Sasaki's feelings for Miyano are clear from the get-go and they're clearly reciprocated ...

Sasaki to Miyano is just art, I don't understand how the author managed to create such a beautiful story. With each volume it gets much better. The design of the characters, the plot, the development of the story, the development of the characters, both main and secondary, and more than anything, the details that can be seen at each moment of the story.
Sasaki to Miyano is different from the other BLs, in this case you can appreciate a pure and tender romance between men that cannot be seen in most cases, but here the author shows us how tender a relationship can be, without matter ...

Honestly, I love everything about this Manga. It is super wholesome, I was smiling the whole way through all of the chapters that are currently out. Each character has their own amazing charm. This manga is truly something special, from the characters to the wonderful story. The English translations are absolutely wonderful, they have always been great. I will be looking forward to more chapters as they release. I Highly recommend this Manga to anyone, Even if you are not a fan of BL. This manga is 100% worth the read. Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy <3

Ok so, I guess the quickest TLDR is that this is my favorite BL of all time (as well as romance overall regardless of gender) and I cannot recommend it enough. The story is insanely sweet and fluffy without being too slow paced or unrealistic, and theres a lot of minor details that really add to the manga imo.

Firstly, I need to say that I read a lot of romance, and something that really sells a good romance for me is when you can /understand/ why they fall in love beyond a surface level, and thats something I think sasamiya does so, so well (though ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (23/? chp)
A BL manga that uses BL manga as a way to connect the characters. Interesting idea I guess.

Sasaki to Miyano is among the more slow paced shounen-ai. In this case, that’s not bad, as it gives the characters more time to feel real and less like a walking fanservice. Unlike the usual procedure, the pairing doesn’t get together and to business immediately. It even takes a while to show that this is, in fact, a BL title.

As usual with such manga, the main demographic is pretty much the only demographic, as if you don’t enjoy boy’s love, there isn’t much for you to enjoy here. ...

I know that this is very popular and for some reason most people are into this bs, but I'm still putting it to "not recommended". I love BL but it's merely one reason why I hate this:

The "top" and "bottom" (or Uke and Seme in Japanese) talk. I don't know why it's so popular, but it's actually extremely disrespectful to gay people. Most gays are switches, and so are girls. Feminine guys aren't the equivalent of a woman and won't therefore be the "bottom" of the relationship.
So damn annoying. When will y'all get this.

Even worse is when people label others whether they're a top or ...
