I'm just going to say it - I absolutely adored this short series. There is just so much to like about it. I just finished reading a different manga that didn't quite meet my expectations (by the same publisher as well), but reading this afterwards was like a breath of fresh air.

Trust me, there are a lot of ways they could have gone wrong with this... but they absolutely nailed it on the head with the characters, story, and art. It's so cute and clever and funny that the fan service feels like a side show. Here's the thing about the fan service in ... this series - it's blatantly there but it's also far from pandery and actually makes sense with the story; hence why I think it's more cutesy and entertaining than anything. You don't have massively over-sized titties flopping around everywhere, it's just a bunch of cute girls who are helping each other merge into society after turning from animal into human, therefore learning things like bathing and swimming are naturally a part of that process.

The art is relatively top-shelf quality and very easy to follow. I could see this getting a short anime adaptation and doing really well provided they execute it with this same formula. It's just such a cute slice of life with its own unique twist and just adds up to be something quite sweet and entertaining. It reminds me of Dragon Maid for these reasons, though Dragon Maid is a masterpiece in its own right, but I also see a lot of potential with this series.

I'm sort of sad it's only 2 volumes long and I would definitely buy more if there was more to buy. I love Seven Seas for providing the bizarre and diverse stories that they do, even if you never know if it's gonna be a hit or miss, but this one is definitely a hit in my humble opinion. I highly recommend it to anyone who thinks they might like it!

This is the peak of CGDCT genre, as simple as that. The cuteness shown is diabetical level, so be highly prepared if you are brave enough to enter into this rainbow rollecoaster.

Some animals are transforming into human girls all over the world, maintaining some animal parts like the ears or the tail, because why not? (I love you Japan), and they need to learn how to behave like humans to be part of the society. So the story is set in one of this schools, Animalium, where we follow the everyday live of some of those girls. The main protagonists are Youko and Fuwako, two ... adorable sheep girls, but almost every other character has her moment of glory. All of this dressed with some curious real animal information, and some fanservice here and there, but without being predominant at any moment. It's a pure slice of life, nothing really happens. Nevertheless, the CGDCT elements are godly enough to maintain the interest without adding much more. There are a few characters who develop a bit during the story, but that's all.

The art is another strong element, which is more detailed than I expected. All the characters are very well drawn, as well as their animal counterparts (yes, they sometimes transform into their original form). Those fully animal forms are drawn in a very different style, in a realistic way, giving an interesting contrast. Last but not least, the backgrounds shine more than in other manga of the same genre.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this two-volume manga to anyone looking for some cuteness in their lives, I can assure that you won't be disappointed by any means.

First impressions: This manga gave me "Uma Musume: Pretty Derby" vibes when I started reading it which I found pretty interesting considering both this manga and that anime has animal humanoids.

Story: Pretty interesting (not really something that I call unique though nor new), I wish it had more chapters.

The characters were pretty interesting, I found the fact that the animal "instincts" and whatnot of the humanoid characters were still a thing even after they turned into something that's human-like in appearance pretty interesting.

Art: It's pretty good, reminds me of the artists on pixiv that I currently follow.

Enjoyment: It has ... some enjoyment value if you like "Moe" anime and manga.

Should you read this? Yes, If you enjoyed the anime "Uma Musume: Pretty Derby" or any other anime that has a similar story.
