Manga: Cat Street
Another story about a group of friends setting out on a rocky path to pursue their individual dreams. I find the story of their friendships, love and determination to overcome their hardships making both manga the few selected best reads for slice of life genre. The characters in both stories support each other and in the process find love in its many multitudes. Laced with triangle love relationships and misunderstandings, in both stories the mangaka/author allows love to progress slowly and realistically making it easy to relate to unlike the usual clichéd plot lines. Manga: Natsu no Zenjitsu
These mangas revolve around art university students who are finding their way into their careers as artists and both involve complex relationships between the characters and a mature setting, not as in H but as in they are slice of lifes and romances that move at an adult pace and are seinens or joseis not shojous or shounens. The pacing is different and it moves as they are trying to have real adult realtionships not childish ones. Although Honey and Clover is more upbeat and lighter in tone I think that those who appreciate the artists and art setting of both  read more

Manga: Ouran Koukou Host Club
Honey and Clover is a Josei/Romance/Comedy/Drama story about College Life. While H&C's story is essentially different than Ouran's (and much more realistic) the general feel of H&C is very similar to Ouran. Unlike many shoujos, the main plot of H&C is developed on the friendships (as well as romance) and relationships of all the characters as a group. You will have a feeling of 'I really want these characters never to separate and be friends forever'. And like Ouran, the characters are unique and you will never forget them. Manga: Tenshi no Uta
The inner turmoil and drama within a group of artistic-minded people that can be linked to one thing: unrequited love. Angel Voice is more towards music and the unity of a band, with what seems like unrelenting drama for their group to improve and go to the top. What makes it similar with Honey and Clover is what seems like unrequited love, this realistic longing for a person yet seeing them either in love with someone else or too far to grab hold. The emotions that both manga stir into the reader make it a recommended read indeed.

"A person's happiness might be built at the expense of someone else, but even if that person feels guilty, there's nothing to be done about it." Both manga are realistic josei. While HnC is a mellow, calm story that weaves like a gentle breeze, both share similar sentiments monologues and refreshing moments. There are also bittersweet moments, unrequited love, shattered dreams and many other events but in the end, both series are about life and the people you'll grow to love.

Manga: Gokinjo Monogatari
Both of the manga are about art students. In Gokinjo Monogatari, Mikako is a an aspiring fashion designer; while the groups of characters in Hachimitsu to Clover are more of traditional fine art students. Although the age is a little different, Gokinjo Monogatari being about high school student, while Hachimitsu to Clover characters are in college, both manga explore aspects of school, love (mutual and unrequited), friendship, growing up, and parting.

Similar art styles. Socrates in love is more dark, but underneath the pointless humor (Morita) Honey and Clover has an amzing depth to it as well.

Manga: Love Life
Shinohara, the protagonist of Love Life, has some similarities with Takemoto from Honey and Clover. They moved to Tokyo on their own and are living alone for the first time. They are also insecure and trying to become reliable and independent. Both of them don't have dreams or goals regarding their professional career either.

Sweet innocent pure love. A lot of hidden meanings from characters' action. Friendship being the main focus. Similiar style of story.

The artwork is similar, and even though it isn't a shoujo-ai manga, it's still, well, shoujo. Michiko reminds me of a combination between Morita-senpai and Tekemoto and Natsuki is kind of similar to Hagu.
