These mangas revolve around art university students who are finding their way into their careers as artists and both involve complex relationships between the characters and a mature setting, not as in H but as in they are slice of lifes and romances that move at an adult pace and are seinens or joseis not shojous or shounens. The pacing is different and it moves as they are trying to have real adult realtionships not childish ones. Although Honey and Clover is more upbeat and lighter in tone I think that those who appreciate the artists and art setting of both
