Otherwise, the database would be filled with the works of amateurs. After all, everyone can improvise themselves Authors and write something, but only few actually officially become one. MAL do accepts works that does not have a physical print tho; as long as they are published by a well known professional company. That's why Mangas from the Shounen Jump + are there, or the Manhwas from Naver. Meanwhile, Bibliomania was published in Manga Hack, by Creative Entertainment... so two completely unknown names, doing almost nothing in the industry. |
