I appreciate the fact that she's not as dumb as a rock and immediately knew Amethio was shady and up to no good. You know Ash's dumb butt would have agreed to do whatever Amethio told him to do. Boy might be a great trainer but he's a bit slow with everything else.

She’s a refreshing protagonist in an equally refreshing story for the franchise, detached from the 25 year escapade for Ash to be “Pokemon Master.” Here’s to hoping Horizons maintains this direction and isn’t laced with the filler thats made every other installment unbearable (it probably will).

She is pretty adorable, isn't she?
I didn't really have high expectations coming into this but it's been pretty good so far. Unfortunately everyone else I know who's watched doesn't seem to like it or drop it for oshi no ko for some reason.
It's kinda lonely tbh.

Would you call Liko adorable if she were a guy? I feel many people would’ve found Liko annoying to an extent if that were the case rather than adorable

I prefer Liko way more than Ash at the begining of his journey.
He was dumb, scream a lot, steal the bike, crash the bike, fighting Metapod with Metapod and constantly falling for Team Rocket tricks. 
Liko uses her brain, she's reasonable and careful, trying to make the best use of Sprigatito moves, she tricked her enemies few times.
Imo that's enough to call her nice, but the fact that she's a cute girl makes it even better.
She has potential, I'm rooting for her and I hope that the creators of the anime will create an interesting plot, where she will be able to prove herself even more.

Nothing really special about her, just a typical shy 10 year old kodomo girl. She's even annoying sometimes tbh

......and that's exactly why Ash is more charismatic than Liko. "Better person = better character" is a wrong assumption. It's a shame he basically stopped acting like a human being a few seasons later and became a hollow commercial shell.

I dont get where anyone gets the idea that she's a sweetheart or smart outside of her being female.

The main trait that she shows is that she gets lost in thought. That doesnt equal smart. In fact, if you are talking about Pokemon battles, she just tells Sprigatito to use Leafage lol. Which to be fair, is smart in the games but anime world operates on different logic.

I find her ok. Kinda aimless tbh.

Well, you're wrong. She uses her brain all the time, even in the episode she was thinking in battle. She is very smart for her age. And she is sweet regardless of the fact that she is a girl. Her personality is charming.

still better than Ash/Satoshi when he started out. let's not forget, he really thought it was a great idea to send out his freshly caughly caterpie against a wild Pidgeotto.
also, Liko used Leafage strategically to escape against a much stronger opponent. as far as the episodes have shown so far, she's definitely not dumb like Ash/Satoshi was.

fact: if Ash/Satoshi was the protagonist in this story as a newcomer, he would gladly hand over the pendant in the very first episode, no questions asked. in fact, he probably would have thanked the guy for coming all the way to retrieve the pendant.

meanwhile, Liko knew something was off about a complete stranger asking for her pendant, and was smart enough to pretend to comply with the request - giving her enough time to escape with her pendant.

Its not as if she really needs battle knowledge anyway, just use the deus ex pendant and voala lol Her first victory was completely offscreen to show how meaningless her "smartness" is. She has a win button with her the whole time (which kinda also happened against Amethio). And yes ppl just like her because shes a cute girl.....like almost any other pokegirl.

I love her. The blue hair is so cool, her personality is awesome, and she acts like she is in this bizarre made-up story... so it's like a villainess anime or something when she breaks the 4th wall XD

Same thing with Suletta. She would literally be another self-insert OP MC if she was a guy. And of course, there are a lot of zoomer simps who have already declared her better than Ash, lol.
