Well, I wouldn’t call it a romance yet. So far I think it’s just a shoujo show with a pretty slow slowburn romance. So far things have been really platonic for both shall and Anne. Anne is really focused on her work, she’s also young and innocent, unaware of what she’s feeling for shall will eventually turn out to be love. Then you have Shall, who cares deeply for Anne, mostly because she’s been kind to him when no one else would and reminds him of his past love. Still I think Shall is feeling nothing but a protective love for Anne.
Things will definitely get more romantic in the second part if we get to see Anne turning into a woman. Slowburn romance is certainly not really popular these days but I really enjoy a good one like this, I just can’t wait.

I considered this to be in the top three romance anime this season, at the very least. Sure it doesn't have traditional romance progression but that's because it's not exclusively focusing on the romance and it's daring to be different, which is exactly what you want from a new romance anime. The ending may have been a bit less fulfilling than anyone would have liked, but it was clearly not going to stop there and the second season was literally uploaded on MyAnimeList before the last episode even aired. Just stop whining, do an iota of research before you type out a complaining post and expand your taste palate 🤦‍♂️

well i couldn't get time to watch this so i put it on hold after watching first episode but i read yesterday that a new season was announced so here i am again lol. i really liked the first episode and it seems like this will be nice :)

Well, my image of romance is that the more obstacles you overcome on the way, the happier your relationship will eventually be. Like, imagine how truly heartwarming it will be when they finally end up together again, likely accomplishing other goals meanwhile. And yes, the way Challe gave up his freedom knowing very well what exactly that girl would do to him (since she'd already confessed her "romantic feelings" to him) was very romantic, cuz in the end it was for his true love and he gave up everything he had for the sake of it

i get where u are coming and i know the fect that every people who is saying 'for me it was really good' it's only because it got second part and hoping that they were end up together but if they don't can u still say it was good if yes then and then u liked the whole show, but i get that he give up everything for her and all but what bothered me most was that kiss, author choose to show ntr kiss before between the main couple itself, removing that i could have like it too but never with that shit
