If someone has read the LN, does Cid ever find out his organisation and the cult is real or does he just keep thinking up stupid shit that somehow is always spot on. I enjoy the series for what it is, just wondering if he ever stops being an "idiot" and thinking himself the eminence while in reality actually being the only one not know what is going on and being the furthest from the person in the shadows that pulls the string.

even though i haven't read the ln and just watched the anime i do have that feeling that he somehow realised after some time that his madeup stord turns out ot be true and that he's aware of what's happening around him. i would say his occasional cluelessnes originates from the fact that the members of shadow garden don't really provide him with a lot of information because they think he already knows everything based on how he reacts when they actually inform him about different things

Seems to me this show is like those "romance" shows where the couple just never quite catch on to the other's feelings.

Except this show's not shit like most of those are...

I figure Cid's delusions are part of the show's driving force, take those delusions away and it becomes a whole different experience.

it doesn´t really make sense that he doesn´t catch up when the bad guys he kills clearly talk about being members of the cult... why would bad guys who get killed by them play along in their game?

@Roman94 because none of the bad guys actually mentioned they are from the "diabolos" cult.
