| *Sighs* Shiho is back. Yay. I actually liked this way more than S1 actually. The thing I didn’t care about in Breaker was Shioon, since he was basically useless in that and I also didn’t reallly care for 9AD’s and Shiho’s romance. But in this, Shioon grows as a martial artist, even if it is using the most convenient plot devices of all time. And I liked the fights more this time. Also Jinie is best girl. |
| I’m wondering how the author would buff shiwoon next. He got buffed with the Phoenix cry thing and the black origin threshold to get low diffed by 9AD. And before that he went though that body rebirth thing. I would’ve thought he could at least whoop the “why is he so important” guy (forgot his name) And now they made medicine from him that can cause rebirths? Which means strong future opponents. The scaling doesn’t make sense to me. |

| The Breaker New Waves was a disappointment. The story in general just dragged and repeated so fucking much. The bad guy shows up, Shi-Woon gets beaten half to death but he wins and makes a friend or earns someone's respect, rinse and repeat until New Waves just, ended. It was cool the first and second time but it loses its impact when every goddamn fight has Shi-Woon become a bloody corpse. Doesn't help that he was straight up useless for most of the story and it took way too long for him to get his Murim powers back. He just kinda reacted to everything that was going on, he had to almost get killed like 4 times for him to actually go on the defensive at least. What the fuck was the point of New Waves then? It made most of the story pointless. New Waves wasn't bad because it had a different focus. It was mediocre because every arc had the same pattern (Shioon can't do anything, he is weak, ohh wait he has the will to live/is just special, then he is bloodstained and gets into Rage Mode, and oops he falls unconscious once again, time to go to the hospital) And that repeated throughout New Waves. It was lazy storytelling. New Waves barely progressed the story. We still don't know shit about Kaiser, what his ultimate motives are etc. Season 3... WEBTOON??? NO WAY |
