| I know Genshin Impact can be popular but anime and game are two different things with different markets too. I actually interested with Genshin Impact but not with chinese animation. I can't play genshin though lol my phone and laptop are not enough for that. |

| To my knowledge, this is anime, not donghua. So it is anime with Chinese origin, but this would be like saying the Three Kingdoms anime is a Chinese Anime, despite being entirely produced in Japan by Ufotable. If it was done by Nice Boat Animation, MTJJ, Samsara Studio, or was funded by Bilibili, Tencent Penguin, et al. then I would say otherwise, but outside of Scissor Seven, Heaven's Official Blessing and Link Click, nothing from China has been massively popular. |

| I have no interest in Chinese cartoons or donghua and I don't play Genshin Impact. Not very surprising that Chinese people can't come up very influential, original works. I'll stick to real anime like The Witch From Mercury. Chinese animation studios will never be on par with Sunrise or even Bee Train. Besides, most video game adaptations suck, like the Netflix Resident Evil that was like "Oh! Let's come up with a Mary Sue Carol Danvers type character of our own". Making Hollywood bend over and lose value at the stock market. |

| Actually chinese anime were always good, were good and will improve, whether "Genshin" was popular or not. In terms of popularity, I think only narrow minded purists, still refuse to acknowledge that chinese anime are legitimately worth getting hyped over. I understand hate towards US animation, don't agree with it, but I do understand it. I mean some Netflix sponsored shows were genuinely awkward. Just as some chinese shows seem weirdly childish. But despite either of those points, both have proven that they have potential. You though, must really enjoy playing "Genshin Impact". |
