16-17 is not a child. We call them teenagers for a reason. And they can be tried as adults in a court of law for criminal acts for a REASON as well. Just because you're under 18, does not abstain you from all criminal thought or activity. Age of consent laws and Romeo Juliet clauses are created exactly to hold individuals close to the age of 18, responsible for their actions. |

| I won't discuss personal points of view about the content or if something may be considered this or that. I will only state one thing. Objectively. MAL Rating system is bad, or to say the minimum, it's completely incoherent. And the worse is that they don't even follow their own guidelines/rules. Here's a copy of their own guidelines. You can confirm it here and here for extra clarification on type, synonyms and ratings. e. Rating The R+ rating is reserved for non-hentai anime with exposed female nipples. The Rx rating is reserved for hentai anime (containing exposed and mosaic-censored genitalia). Sex scenes alone don't make an anime have an R+ or Rx rating. Hige wo Soru doesn't have any explicit/exposed nipples and the actual sex scene doesn't make it R+. And the exact same thing happens on dozens of shows that are now incorrectly rated as R+. If they want to put anime that show a little more naked skin in a different box then simply change the Rating system and simply add an intermediate class, like 15/16+ that would include non-nude anime where you find 'a more mature content' outside the gore/violence one. |

| I think it's good they change it to R+. Rating is not just used for sexual theme only, it's also applied for violence, topic or theme and how they show the scene. this theme and scene is not supposed for age under 15 so just R+ is actually good enough, thats what i thought. munou no nana, AoT, mushoku tensei,Mahou Shoujo Site also have Rating: R - 17+. And yeah they need to update their own guidelines. |

| There was a sex scene at the start of ep 3. It only lasted for a few seconds but I think it's enough for anime to be rated R+. I know it's unrelated but it doesn't matter in anime. |
