Futaba never explained the phenomenon with science, she used it as an analogy for the "supernatural" stuff that was happening. It seems to me that you never listened to anything Futaba said just because you thought she's trying to "explain" things. All she said was "facts" that we already know in quantum physics. There's nothing inaccurate about it. Just because she used it as a reference to explain the syndrone doesn't make the "facts" inaccurate. And if you still think what she said was inaccurate, you can go watch it again and clarify with something loke GOOGLE. And I would like to know what about relativity was senku right? Mind you the reason I brought senku is because he uses that BS to explain how they survived even after being petrified for so long, which is again, BS. |

| This is a supernatural series. The scientific explanations don't really hold weight here. The series is more about the characters emotions and how they solve the problems in their lives( that is, cure themselves of the symptoms of the "Puberty Syndrome"). |

I don't remember details nor do I know much about the actual experiment, so I won't even try to get into it. Just let me ask if things made at least sense within the context of the show?
That aside, I saw that Bunny Girl more as a drama with rom-com flavor, harem and supernatural elements. The latter as gimmick to explore characters. So even if there was something wack in the supernatural department it was insignificant and shouldn't take away much. I treated the explanations allegorical anyway.

I agree with the OP, the insertion of falsely applied theory curtails an otherwise amazing slice of life romcom. It speaks towards an insecurity of the supernatural that you need to slap together loose bits of science you learned through cultural osmosis. Steins Gate has the same issue where the whole premise is "heh do female scientists bother you: Ö" |

This is like dropping Steins;Gate because obviously a microwave cannot create a micro-Kerr black hole capable of sending things back in time. Yes, we know it’s a gigantic leap from scientific theory to plot line. Do we care? No, any show that involves “science-fiction” or “supernatural” is obviously going to require some suspension of disbelief. You don’t watch a show like this or Steins;Gate because you expect a perfect representation of science. You enjoy the creative applications of real theories, whether they hold up or (more likely) not because they open up a world that is not our own to explore. If you want an actually accurate representation of science, then you watch shows like Dr. Stone, which is designed specifically to try to demonstrate practical applications of real science in the real world.
*Edit* This is not to say that you have to like either this show or S;G. I'm just saying that you can't really call them bad shows because of this trait of theirs. To do so is to misrepresent their goals. You can just not like shows with those goals and prefer shows like Dr. Stone.

The premise you put forward is false when the fanbases of this anime and sg are based on oneupmanship and false discernment under the veil of pseudointellectualism or philosophy rather than outright waifu wars or whatever. The same can be said for things like re;zero. Oversll there is an inorganic focus on the things that don't make an anime popular in the fanbases of such anime as if they try to rewrite why it blew up and how they try to have their cake and eat it too. No one is putting forward the argument that anime like darling Franxx or Bisque Doll are anime worthy of the top 10 in mal even though they have the waifu element. Bad faith ahh argument. |
