Ah OK ! I think the pace will accelerate, especially during the second season. Where the issues are more important. In the first season, it is mainly the introduction of the majority of the characters. But the episodes that will happen will have their little moment of emotion! (Especially ep 18 ! If the predictions are true :D )

Also, from all those 'leaked' images, as well as some.. other sources (the partially revealed s1 outline, courtesy of funimation), I think it's safe to assume there will be no more one-chapter episodes in s1, so yes, the pacing should increase.

(my bet is that s1 will end at either chapter 34 or 36, while also including a few of the later chapters: 37/38, 39-41, 44/45 and 51, in order to introduce two of the zodiac characters earlier and to give us Uo and Hana's backstories, all of which would fit better in the introductory s1, rather than later when the plot thickens)

Can someone please tell me why they skip Kisa story? Kisa was suppose to be next, after the lake episode. I even check the manga (which I have 5 times) to see if I was right and I was. I’m a little mad at Fruits Basket for skipping Kisa. Kisa is my favorite character and I’ve been waiting for her since the announcement of the new series last year. Kisa means a lot to me and I was ready to watch this episode 100 times the weekend (that how much I love Kisa). Plus since this week is 16th episode (16 is my favorite number) it was meant to be. Then I found out that I have to wait longer to see Kisa, i got really mad and annoyed. So can someone please tell my why they going out of order. I thought going out of order was the reason, people wasn’t a huge fan of the original anime.

If I'm not mistaken, someone mentioned that they probably want to move the backstory a bit earlier cause this season is focusing on character's introduction so that it wouldn't feel kinda off in S2 where they focused more on the story itself and the same will probably happen with Hana's backstory as well. So, Kisa's story will start in ep 18 instead.

They're changing the order a bit so that they can introduce more characters/backstories earlier and make season 1 into an introductory season (in contrast to seasons 2 and 3 that are going to be heavy on plot and development).

According to the partially leaked outline of s1, the order is going to be like this:

Episodes 22-25 will most likely cover

Why is Ritsu before Hiro. Do you mean Hiro is ep 19 and Ritsu is ep 20. Hiro is introduce before Ritsu.
