Well, the updates don't let you play as a new character, but they do introduce multiple hours of new story content, items etc and from what I heard the next free update will let you play as another character :3

Yeah, I managed to get it setup just like in netbeans, got tests and everything, and then when I tell it to execute the tests it says there are no tests to execute, regardless of whether I tell it to execute all of them or select just 1 file :3

CSFixer stands for Coding Standards Fixer which enforces that you use certain coding standards, but as per usual the standards I was looking for weren't in the list and getting custom ones to work seems to be a nightmare.
Thus far at least phpstorm was far faaaaar easier to setup, it looks like I won't need CSFixer and I haven't tried unit testing yet :3

I hope so. At least it shouldn't be difficult to make it better than wordpress, but the question is can I get it to work well enough so that it's easy to create the things we usually make and whether I can convince my colleagues to use a custom cms because they don't want to spend too much time having to maintain custom frameworks etc. Ignoring the fact we have our own framework running on top of wordpress that we also have to maintain ourselves ^^

Yeah, but they also agree that making websites in wordpress is a coding nightmare especially to those who are used to OOP. They've also been looking at alternatives we could use, though without success so far :3

Yeah, symfony is pretty easy on the developer. It even lets you write classes and map the properties to a database table that doesn't exist yet and have it automatically create it for you, validate the properties and everything. That's also what you have in your java projects right? :3

Vulkan has multi-gpu technology that allows you to use multiple gpus to render the scene regardless of what these are. If for example you have an igpu in your cpu and a dedicated gpu as well then this technology would allow you to use the combined power of both to render the scene.
So not like sli/crossfire where you need to combine specific cards and where it doesn't even use the full power of each one. No game thus far has implemented this tech yet though as it requires the game developer to build this support in :3

Yeah. This has cherry mx brown switches with pbt key caps. There was also a version without pbt key caps and with white led lighting which was €110 and then there was also an rgb version also without pbt key caps which was €150. I don't even want rgb lighting as its only distracting and thus a waste of money, and I decided that I'd rather have more durable key caps without lighting than pay a bit more just for the lighting :3

To me it was probably worse than it'd be for you though because I've read the LN and thus know what it's supposed to be like. Let's just say they skipped through like half the volume, made stuff much less epic and used too much cgi :3

RGB lighting is actually pretty useful though, since you can only highlight the keys when in a game that you actually need and have a function. Makes it easier to remember the keys in new games you play like Witcher 3 for me :3

There is a PPA which works just fine for my G910 at the very least. And on Windows there are already pre-defined settings for a bunch of games including Witcher and Total War, so you don't have to do it yourself. It also starts/stops automatically if you're ingame or not :3
You can make specific areas with different colors for movement, combat, inventory etc though which would even be useful for Star Citizen ^^

Yay, at least that sounds better than episode 2... which had quite horrible ratings on MAL's episode discussion. It seems episode 3 at least did better there ^^

From what I've heard misaka is an exception to the rule because the level 5s were all that powerful since the beginning, while misaka became one through hard work thus making her the only one who doesn't look down on those weaker than her :3

I just chose the pbt key caps because that version was not only cheaper, but also is supposed to last longer which is always good. Regular key caps are quite a bit thinner, the letters fade more quickly and they tend to get glossy after a while :3

I imagine that at least they'll have made it better by the time squadron 42 comes out. Last time I played they had all kinds of ridiculous controls like F9, Insert and Ctrl+Alt+L or something ridiculous like that xD

In the LN they were at least more interesting than this, but that's usually the case when you take a LN and cram a ton of its content into a quarter season anime :3

Btw I just read an article about Star Citizen's current performance while driving to work. They tested it with an intel i9-7980XE, two Geforce 1080 TI and 32GB RAM and only got like 30 fps xD

The episode was definitely better than the one before and I guess it was interesting to see someone from Nazarick actually get defeated in combat. Even though he wasn't anyone important and just appeared for one episode :3

Well, we had an antenna on the roof back then which couldn't receive the other dutch channels. Then again, that is kind of the year where we moved from the stone age to a newer more modern age as more tv isn't the only thing that we got then xD

Well, iirc it's a combination of him needing to scare off potential attackers because he got constantly challenged etc and it was also shown that when the experiment first started that he was still somewhat normal, taking issue with needing to fight MISAKA #1. At some point after killing god knows how many clones he kinda went crazy and is now enjoying it :3

Ah right. The reason the performance is so bad right now is because of the complexity of the flight computers. Each individual ship has an insane amount of calculations associated with it to make it fly etc etc. If you're alone the performance is pretty good from what I hear, but in multiplayer when there's up to like 50 other players and no network range culling in place then your CPU will seriously bottleneck you. From what I hear installing it on an SSD with page files etc also makes a pretty big difference :3

He's just a warrior character who barely even thinks for himself and even in the LN got very little screentime :3
That's just because he's a weak elder lich created from a corpse by Ainz as an experiment after coming to the new world. It hasn't been explicitly confirmed, but people speculate due to the visuals that the corpse was from that adventurer who came with him on his journey to fight shalltear who's head got beaten in by Mare :3

Yeah a SSD apparently makes a difference not only in loading times but also in performance which seems really weird. In that case the CPU didn't really bottleneck either though with its 18 cores and 4+ GHz clock. Seems like the game engine/graphics API just can't handle anymore, which is the reason they practically have to use Vulkan to make it run any good :3

I read that yesterday on the wiki, since I couldn't spoil myself any further either way since that lich got destroyed. I don't even remember that adventurer though, must've been that insignificant. Wonder what will happen next episode though with all the talk from Demiruge about Ainz not actually wanting Cocytus to win :o

I like the idea of it simply because I like the more classic werewolf curse where it can't be controlled. It's the one thing about werewolves I find interesting. Vampires have disadvantages in skyrim even more so with those mods so why should werewolves be any different? Besides, you can customize the settings to make it more predictable. As I said, by default it's like 1% every night (or was it 5?) and 100% at full moon. I remember setting all of them to 0% and leave full moon at 100% so I would at least know when it will happen so I can prepare for it :3

Well, it was that year where we finally transitioned away from lots of old things like only german tv because of the antenna, from VHS to dvd, from cassettes and vinyl to cds, from macintosh to a windows pc, from one of those old manual coffee grinders to an automated one etc :3

From as far as I know there are plenty of people who are pretty good at C++ but have never learned basic C :3

What I'm talking about is that I've seen multiple keyboards that had both an rgb and a non-rgb version. For example, there was one with white LEDs that was like €110 where the rgb version was €180. The only difference was that the more expensive one didn't have a usb passthrough but did have rgb lighting :3

Well, the reason for that is pretty simple. Star citizen has a LOT of files like game scripts, models, textures, sfx etc that aren't needed at boot up. In order for the game to start quickly it only loads like an empty little box first and then populates that with stuff you actually see. Everything else is then streamed in and out on demand. This of course generates a lot of I/O :3
That's probably because the game is far from being well optimized right now. It doesn't use all of the cpu power available to it yet, and a lot of things still happen on the main thread like spawning ships. This means, if I were to spawn a large ship like the starfarer, then it'll need to spawn not just the ship but also all of the attached components etc etc etc and this makes the main thread wait until that's done. This is synced across the network and network range culling isn't in yet :3
They're currently working on fixing just that though :3

I like to have some actual feedback and I type much more than I game so reds would already disqualify. Blues are so loud that many companies have even forbidden their employees from using blues at work which I can imagine if they're louder than the browns which are already pretty loud xD

This is not quite the same as that though as LoDs were obviously already a thing. There's less to render with LoDs, but the files still need to be loaded :3
I mean, with star citizen they're currently working on so called object container streaming which allows them to load absolutely nothing they don't need because with regular LoDs alone they still had to load in far more than they actually needed :3
Yeah, the netcode is one of the big problems right now. And well, god knows how they want to achieve this if at all possible, but apparently they're going to try and use some sort of server meshing to allow people to interact with one another across servers :3
If they can do that then the main issue is of course making sure you're not frying the CPU when there's more than 10 players in any given area xD

No, the database library is only a portion of it. It's called Doctrine. Symfony is a complete framework of reusable components that integrates support for a few high quality third party libraries including doctrine :3
I'm using mysql obviously because if I'm going to try and make a cms for at work then I'm going to have to use technologies we actually have access to :3
That, and I don't know any other database query languages which I'd say is pretty useful to know even when I have access to query builders and what not :3

Yesterday I watched the remaining weekly anime, started watching little witch academia, played some piano and did some symfony programming. Or rather I spent a few hours trying to track down why on earth the sessions didn't work as they should, and I wasn't able to pin it down xD
Like, it would create the session file on the disk, but didn't set a session cookie meaning it would create a new session on every request no matter what. So I'm hoping my php installation is bogged and that reinstalling a normal lamp stack will fix the issue :3
