I was commissioned recently to draw the cast of our Sunday night D&D group. And so I did:
From left to right, the cast consists of...
Cefruz, our team's Hengeyokai Scout, in his Hybrid form. His transformation animal is a black fox, obviously(?). Scouts are a melee DPS kinda class, and they do massive damage via swinging two weapons around wildly, and Cefruz here is showing off the keen edge of his rapier. The little dragon flying in the background, dubbed Puggy, is Cefruz's pet whom he dotes on constantly.
Sidra is our team's other melee DPS, and he's an Elven Monk. He's getting up there in years, and his Desert Wind style of training necessitated him wearing looser, more lightly-colored clothing. The amulet he wears symbolizes a snake and an oak tree, as both snake venom and tree bark have been essential medical symbols for many millennia; it's unsure as to how Sidra connects with any medical background, as the subject of any personal details is one he would rather avoid. He punches people in the face. With a katar. After he sets it on fire. While dancing around his opponent and making them more susceptible to his fiery strikes. Like a boss.
Ea, my character, is a Tiefling Ardent. Tieflings are descendents of humans who've mated with devils, so she bears the telltale red skin, horns, and tail, but her upbringing in the church of Bahamut on an island nation made her into a fiery "paladin" championing equality for all. No matter where she may find herself, Ea will stop at nothing to ensure that the oppressed are liberated, justice is met, and the Light of Bahamut is spread. We all have our Berserk Buttons, though, and Ea's happens to be slavery--if Ea finds out you've been trafficking slaves, you've signed your own death warrant. As for Ardents, they are basically psychic warriors who can influence the battlefield via emotions, including healing their allies, so think of Jeanne d'Arc as an example.
Dweon is a Goblin Artificer who was raised by humans, so he looks and behaves much differently from your typical Goblin--you can smell him coming from only HALF a block away!--and his love for alchemy and science led him to become a nerd Artificer, allowing him to create and empower magic items! Combined with his (often wildly unpredictable) potions and flasks, Dweon is a chaotic force to be reckoned with! But Dweon just wants to fit in and make friends, because even a smelly, fat, nerdy sumbitch needs social interaction.
Zeuel is an unassuming Tiefling Psion, with a much noticeably paler complexion than other members of her race. Boasting incredible intellect as well as charm, she needs nothing more than a magical staff she can conjure and the clothes on her back to defend herself. Zeuel's psionic abilities allow her to manipulate the enemies she and her friends face--both mentally AND physically, sometimes in the form of making an enemy into a projectile!--as well as subtly influence friends and acquaintances in many ways. But being the fun-loving gal she is, this typically manifests as minor pranks.
Manak, the Goliath Warden, is the newest addition to the group, and, being a veritable meat castle, among the most essential. Though lightly armored and wielding a giant axe, Manak is nonetheless durable enough to endure relentless punishment from a whole pack of foes. Bolstered by the life energy of nature itself, Manak can inflict punishment upon his enemies by assuming several forms or, y'know, just conjuring forth spectral vines to hold any ne'er-do-wells in place. Outside of battle, Manak is very taciturn and direct, stating any rarely-uttered opinions with only the utmost frankness. |
