Also, the leader of the translator team apparently only played Zero and Ao no Kiseki and no other games... So yeah... I think between the team, the only game that hasn’t been played is The 3rd. One of their translators is the one who wrote the walkthrough for Trails in the Sky and he also translated the entire prologue for Zero no Kiseki on YouTube. I wouldn’t be that concerned about translation. What I’ve seen of it has been good, but not amazing. The major worry is the project leader who has only played Sky, and doesn’t know the series well. As long as the other members fix up any mistakes made, the final result should turn out to be decent. The preview translation that they put on YouTube was decent quality TL at best tho. I just hope they won't fuck up the names. I remember the leader of the Fan TL wanting to make the name of Zero no Kiseki into Trails of the Void, which makes no sense because the "Zero" part of the name has a very significant meaning and foreshadowing of the entire Crossbell arc. |

Floofy, Gu4n and Yotaka taking over is great. The translations from zeromonkey was so bad.. Now the fan translation is worth looking at for western fanbase. |

The leaked fan TL by zeromonkey is MTL'd garbage (MTL = Machine Translation) so I won't update the post until the full edited script is released (tho the base is still MTL). |

Didn't feel like machine translation when i tried it. I was actually quite impressed how easy it was to read and follow. Now i don't know japanese so i can't compare the text to see if it's accurate or not, but if it's like the beginning throughout the entire game, then it's completely fine. A desperate soul will easily accept an unreadable line a few times to get his fix.
