They barely had 10 or so manga chapters out at the time, and the author had to take a break every once in a while (sometimes sudden) due to his health, so they didn't have really too many options if they wanted to keep it on air.Did they not have enough material to advance it? |

| The original plan was to have a 52 (or maybe 51) episode series. As the series was coming to an end they decided to continue the series in a second season, but with no more source material to adapt it would have to be anime original. They overestimated the amount of anime they could get out of what there was of the manga so only 43 episodes of the anime were aired before they had to start airing only anime original content. |

There was no overestimation nor "before they had to start ...". They planned to adapt the series until that point from the 43 episodes from the start! The series got popular and they decided to had an original arc. Just the fact that there were so many fillers, even if it is an original arc, is just kinda annoying if people want to see the main storyline advance, which i did, not see a filler inbetween, especially one that takes a whole season. I'd rather have it be on hold, like God Eater was. Still, the question was why there were fillers, nothing else. |

The thing i had a problem with was just the timing they decided to put the fillers in there without ending an arc. Saying ''so many fillers'' was in this case pointing to the fact that it happened just as a new main arc was making progress. Do you see where i'm going with this? |
