When you try to portray the life of a cat as realistically as possible, there's only so much you can do (cats are actually pretty boring in real life) before jumping the shark. But at the same time, there's definitely still material. You can make two arcs out of Chi actually hunting (after all, female cats are better hunters than male cats) and you can spend at least four arcs on a serious pregnancy plot (Chi is nearing maturity, and the Yamadas haven't even mentioned spaying her). |
