Somewhere: Stephen Dorff #1. Lazy slice of life film; nothing happens. Not interesting, deep or compelling. Classy soundtrack, though. (6/10)
Carjacked: Stephen Dorff #2. Cheesy, poor, forgettable thriller with a dreadful female protagonist. Not good nor bad: simply mediocre. (5/10)
The Gate: Stephen Dorff #3. He was a cute shota at the time of this B-movie. Hilariously bad and stupid, but still a waste of time. (5/10)

Evidently, there isn't really anything remarkable in these 3 movies, aside from the lead actor (who is the only reason why I watched them).

Men in Black 3 - most definitely better than the 3rd one but not as much fun as the 1st in the series. Also at a budget of 215 million $, this movie did not impress me visually, probably plenty of this money was used to hire the actors.

The Artist.
Lovely. Good idea brilliantly performed. The plot was maybe a tad too common and predictable, but never really boring. Especially solid acting. I really enjoyed the soundtrack 4/5

Prometheus: Doesn't deserve so much criticism; Alien, despite being more iconic, really wasn't anything better, and didn't even age well. Objectively, the story is flawed but interesting, with a constant aura of mystery, and, although I am not a fan of the actors chosen, most of them did a good job. We also have a great female lead, a fair level of entertainment, and some nice sci-fi concepts and visuals. Unfortunately, it isn't as dark and creepy as expected: I wanted a horror atmosphere, but many scenes were either dramatic or disgusting. The pacing is quite slow at times, and the dialogue is flat. Moreover, one of the main characters was irritating beyond belief, and he did terrible things which frustrated me a lot, such as killing my favourite guy. :-| Not a movie I'd rewatch many times, but nevertheless above average, especially if compared to the load of crap I've watched lately. Surely a decent blockbuster, as well as a must for sci-fi lovers. Haters gonna hate. (7/10)

Watched this one too. An 8 out of 10 from me. I actually quite liked the guy you hated :)

Overall, I quite enjoyed this movie, it's a visual feast with solid characters and acting, but I feel the story never gets developed enough, the story focuses more on creating that sense of wonder then on solid storytelling. Anyway, I look forward to a sequel.

1492 - Conquest of Paradise

Not a bad film, if not coloring Columbus a bit of as a hero/tragic character. But actually I really watched it for the same reason I watched Requiem for a Dream, which is the theme music that is super overused, yet no one has actually watched the movies they were featured in:
