| I'm currently watching Brotherhood and I'am on ep 46 right now Is there a big difference between the original and brotherhood ? Is it worth watching after I complete brotherhood ? |

| I watched the original series before Brotherhood, and before I knew that it was different from the manga. That being said, it's still great and everything, but a large portion of the series is recapped in the first few episodes of Brotherhood, so I would advise you not to watch it immediately afterwards. |

| I watched FMA before FMAB too, i watched the first few episodes of bortherhood straight aftwards then ended up putting it on hold for like an entire year. After watching FMA first it really made me realize how much better fmab is, not to say fma is bad but it's clear which one is better. It's up to you, if you reallly cant get enough of it then watch FMA, but don't expect anything as amazing as FMAB |

| Yes you can watch it after but not right after like ssrex said. Be prepared for they are very different, a lot of the enemies are changed, the story, the ending, the main boss, etc. But the first 25 episodes of FMA will be very similar to the first 15 episodes of FMAB. I see FMAB as 10x better than FMA. |

| If you like a grander story with "big bad" shounen villains, then Brotherhood is where it's at. However, if, like me, you prefer a story with more drama; better pacing; more mature/darker; better art; better OST; and more developed characters, then FMA is a must watch. I watched it almost a year after completing Brotherhood, so I can't say when the best time to watch it would be, but I definitely recommend it. |

| It's not worth watching since you'll already know the whole story. The beginning of FMA will drag on because FMAB flies by the early content. There are some great scenes in FMA, so maybe sometime down the road you give it watch, but I wouldn't. |

| yah but as someone said try not watching it immediately afterwords, the start is still the same as brotherhoods start aside from minor differences. It becomes drastically different after about 25 episodes, the 2003 FMA is definitely more ballsy than brotherhood is, got alot more darker, killed off more characters and delved into some heavy topics. its less of a shounen than brotherhood is, lot less action and when there is fighting its almost all reliant on the rules of alchemy. they are both great for separate reasons but i generally think in the long run the 2003 is better cause of its writing and characterization. the 1 dimensional villains in brotherhood like lust and envy are actually really fleshed out in 2003 and arent just pawns doing what they are told, sadly though pride and wrath arent as good as brotherhood |

| You should've watched it before. But sure you can watch it after too. Just not right away. |
| This is how you should watch FMA : Watch this one (2003) stop before filler material, then continue with Brotherhood. |
