| Rose isn't invincible though, and I'm sure that when the plot starts up again we'll see an enemy capable of hurting Solty. |
| The descent of this show continues... into the ground. Solty & Rose are stuck after whatever happened last episode. What's with a shower scene in that situation? They walk around in this underworld area, and she claims it's abandoned WHILE STANDING IN FRONT OF A WORKING VENDING MACHINE. (and after taking a hot shower in a lit bathroom) So the vending machine catches fire because that just always happens with vending machines doesn't it; and they're looking for a way out. It's not a terrible plot for an episode, but the problem is ROSE is still driving the narrative; while Solty for whom the show is named, is relegated to following her around. Roy has barely any speaking lines, and so eventually Solty finds a way to get out of the burning underground tunnels and unfortunately Rose wakes up.... What would have been better is if they had come across people down there- maybe people who are hostile to outsiders coming down, and might have weapons and suspicions- since we've been told so many times that there's an underground community beneath the shiny city, this would be the perfect way to introduce the main characters to it. It's a Pavlov's Gun that hasn't been fired, and been left hanging on the wall of the saloon during a brawl.... ARGHHH! So frustrating |
