Both are equally good at cosplaying itself. But in my opinion girls generally put my time and effort into making them and getting to look good.

It doesn't really matter, it's always cool to see how creative and detailed people can be.

I do love seeing cute Sailor Scouts though.

Now now young child that is a very false statement. When cosplaying a rather not so handsome character you need a not so handsome person to cosplay it for it to turn out very well. Case and point example here.

Your simple world can be a fantastic place, you just have to know where to look.

There are many things I love. There's Star Wars, Anime, and Video games. I'll buy the posters/wall scrolls and DVD's, but I'll never play dress up. I have to much respect for my self. I really don't understand why people need to do this. Can someone tell me why?

Originally, I thought that not many people do cosplay due to its nature, but...

http://www.cosplay.com/

I don't like doing it myself though. However, I think it is now popular culture in some places. Check the site out. Some look good, some doesn't.

As a (straight) guy, I would say cosplaying is more suited for women.

On a gender-neutral note, I would say girls are better at cosplaying female characters, while men are better at cosplaying male characters. Dunno why.

Many of the lot have their own reasons. Some cases more pathetic than others. But the most common claim I've heard was "It's a hobby like any other".

Both. I don't know why a gender would be better than another one... Of course, girls often put more energy and time than boys, but it doesn't mean boys are worse. They can do really awesome cosplays too.

I'm just assuming based on what I've seen, but I noticed that the number of girls cosplaying is higher than guys. So because of that, I see a lot more girls cosplaying than guys. Now whether or not they are well executed is another thing. The secret to cosplaying is effort, time, and money. Whether you're a girl or a guy doesn't really matter.

Both are pretty good I suppose. =3 I haven't seen many guys cosplay though. Dx Not enough... I kinda dislike it when girls cosplay guys though. ^^; Their faces are too soft or just... too feminine? I dunno. ^^;;

I'd say that cosplaying is a gender-equal kinda thing; simply because there are nearly equal numbers of male and female anime characters.

I say it's for both. Cosplaying is about having fun. I think it's fun for both girls and guys. And besides, it all really depends on the costume and the skits if it's a skit competition, not on the person's gender.

Wow, way to bring back an ancient topic. O.o

Neither is "more fit" for cosplaying than the other, but more girls have sewing and crafting skills than guys do.

I'm a cosplayer, and I've seen fair amounts of both boys and girls cosplaying. So I think it's for both genders who enjoy the said activity :3
