| I want something (anime or manga) that: - Has good drama and characters - The characters take appropriate actions when in a pinch - A situation where the characters have an obvious way to achieve their goals, but it gets ignored simply for the purposes of the plot, doesn't happen. Examples include: Glass Mask, Spice and Wold, Higurashi, Hyouka When I say I want smart characters, I want them to have good ideas or reasoning. I DON'T want brilliant surgeons, brilliant students, brilliant hackers, or other characters that are smart just because the author sa so, but don't seem to have good ideas or reasoning. So don't recommend Monster or Special A. Also, recommendations that are in my PTW/PTR are OK, but don't recommend things from my other lists. Also, don't recommend Mushishi, or Berserk, even though they're not on any of my lists. |

| Fate/Zero While Kiritsugu Emiya does fit a bit into both sides, his whole thought process is something that gives him a feel in having strong conviction that most people have a hard time to fathom. Kemono no Souja Erin Erin is one of the characters that has the most development I've ever seen, she's on of the few characters that actually seem to use past experience and actually learns from it. She also has the ability to keep calm and think rationally in many tense situations |
