Strong Hero Anime

Looking for an anime that is strong (or becomes strong). Would like there to be some romance (would be a bonus). Prefer either magic/swords or a mech. Something similar to Accel World or even Black Cat i guess. Mainly im just looking for an anime with a strong male lead.

I would say SAO. In that shit of an anime the guy does all the stuff and the pussies jump on him as if he's covered in valerian.
But as you've seen that already...

And if you want a shorter one Zetsuen no Tempest is a nice anime to watch.

Jojo's Bizzare Adventure. The anime is based on a manga that got a short ova back in the "old days". The manga is a multi-generational saga that deals with all types of supernatural things, and builds a strong continuity.

Each of the heroes are strong in their way, and differ from each other; the only similarity that they are all from the same family (the Jostars) and that their names can in some way, shape or form be spelled, pronounced, abbreviated, or read as "Jojo".

-For Example Jonathan, the hero of part one, was a gentlemen, and kind of a "knight in shining armor". He was a talented Ripple (think of the force from Star Wars) user. His Grandson, Joseph was probably the weakest of the heroes in terms of raw power, but was trickster at heart, and found cleaver ways to trick and trap his enemies to make up for his lack in power; he also rarely took anything seriously. And so on.

Right now they have only adapted the first 2 parts, and are working on the rest. If you are in a hurry to know what happens next after catching up you can watch the OVA after, which was an adaptation of the 3rd part.
