Where the main character isn't talented but your average human being. Pretty much something similar to Sakurasou but without the echi would be nice.

Also, is there a manga author like Asano? I love his work, especially Goodnight Punpun. I've already read most of his works and currently reading Solanin. It would be nice to have another manga similar to Asano works.

While there's certainly hard work and determination, the main character is talented.

Usagi Drop - Hard work taking care of a child.
Papa no Iu Koto blah blah long name - Uh... similar levels of fanservice. Child raising as a college student rather than a full adult.
Tsuritama - Average/misfit kid learns how to fish and eventually wins the day (and saves the world... wut).

True, although he starts off pretty bad.

You're not gonna get much animes about someone who's completely untalented, unless there's one where its main point is that the MC is useless at everything (and then there'll be a twist that there's something he's good at)............. sure, being good at something is a lot about hard work, but it's pointless if you've got zero affinity for it.

Kateikyo Hitman Reborn

The main character is special only in that he gets others to care about them. Otherwise he needs to be halfway brainwashed to keep up with everyone.

Kenichi from History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. He has no talent for martial arts, rather he believes, or maybe he was told by his masters, I forget, that he can makes up for lack of talent by intensive repetitive training.

This sentence is even in his character page: "Though it is consistently stated that Kenichi has no talent for martial arts he more than makes up for it with his work ethic."

Tsuritama seems like the anime to watch. Think I'll add that to the list. I'll look into Papa as well.

@pumkingboyz
Thanks for the suggestion, but I read it before and I really didn't like it.

This seems like what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestions guys!.

@Paul
Ah, I remember watching Kenichi before and I liked it. This definitely seems spot on in what I'm looking for.

I'd say Katekyo Hitman Reborn as well, but he's not your average student/person. He fails at grades and everything but later on he starts to own.

Binbou Shimai Monogatari perhaps?
I found the themes of hardship is similar to Punpun.

Second'ing Bakuman, it pretty much is Sakurasou without ecchi. However the two main characters are pretty talented in art and literature, but the other areas not so much.

Like the above posters, recc'ing Bakuman again. Anime/manga are both great.

Maybe try The Breaker, Skip Beat (shoujo),
