| Probably the first incident of a Japanese company issuing a C&D for a currently airing series. GDH.K.K authorised FUNimation Entertainment to issue a C&D to Shinsen Subs on their behalf. The C&D was issued with regards to all torrents pertaning to the Romeo x Juliet series. The Funimation Entertainment legal department issued the C&D under the DMCA, eventhough FUNimation cliam that they, or anybody else, have not attained a licence for distribution in the US. If this is the way things are going its bad news for anime fans, the Japanese companies could pull the plug on fan subs. Maybe not alltogether, but cirtainly at the level it is at the moment. Weather this is a legal use of the DMCA is a matter for descussion. LINK |

| Very bad news, at least I get my Romeo and Juliet from Umai-Fansubs, but certently not good indicator of things to come. Bad part is I like animes from Gonzo :( Topic might be better in news section |

| Well I assume they have sent them to all groups subbing R&J, but as I cant conirm it I didn't want to say they have. As of yet No C&D's have been issued for other Gonzo animes. Shinsen also sub Kaze no Stigma and Seto no Hanayome and they have not been asked to remove them yet. Perhaps FUNimation are planning to licence R&J. |

| I hope its only for anime about to be dubbed, it would suck if they did it for every single anime even if there are no plans for release in R1. |
